Question about Cars & Trucks
2000 ford f150 v-8 trighton
Hate to say it but the only way you can fix that is by having a ford dealership figure out what's going on. If you mess with the security system or anything that feeds it data your truck will lock out. Been there, done that, will never mess with my auto start ever again.

Either you may be using a key that you had copied from the original or your chip went bad in your original key. Most of cars now a days have the key censor in the key so if it is the incorrect key it will not start your car or if it does not read that chip it will not start

This means that your key is not being recogonized.Ethier the chip in the key is bad or the patts transciever at the lock cylinder. Do you have a spare key? If not you will have to get 2 new keyss cut and programmed.
