It could be as simple as a loose radiator hose to a frost plug or a water pump, the easiest wat is to pressurize the system and check under the car for the source.

To do this you will need a radiator and cap tester, an to lift the car at least enough to get a look at where the leak originates.
You can check the hose connections and you might be able to see the leak with out the tester, but you will likely have to lift the car somewhat to get a good look.

Hope this is of some help.

Unless you own the tools, send it in for die and a pressure test. That should help pin point the source.

Leaking antifreeze overflow

You would need to do a pressure test if you can't visually see where the leak is coming from. Coolant leaks don't usually just stop. Chances are you have no coolant left. I would get this checked out immediately before you run into overheating issues and damage the engine.

Smelling antifreeze coming from a/c vents

this is a sign of a broken or punctured heater radiator which is located in the car cabinet that causes coolant to leak. you should also have noticed that the coolant level becomes low. you can either replace it or have it disconnected by removing the hoses that feed it with hot coolant, then you will have no heater inside the car cabinet.

Antifreeze leaking from left side of engine on 2001 cougar 2.0 4cyl

If you can remove components that are in your line of sight to check where the leak is coming from, it would help. Sometimes leaks come from hoses or sensor housing which mount to engine block.
Prior to removing anything, may want to use de-greaser or steam clean entire engine.

Antifreeze in the motor wut do i do?

It's normal for the check engine light to be on when the car's engine is not running. If the car is turning over but won't start under its own power, then there maybe another problem unrelated to antifreeze being low in level. Did you ever notice white smoke coming from the tailpipe indicating a head gasket leak? If so, then the antifreeze is likely coming out of the tailpipe when running, or there is a slow leak in something say like the water pump gasket or shaft. It's a good idea to check what codes are tripped using an obd-II scanner to point you in the right direction. Good luck on this repair.

I am loosing water out of the cooing system. Got a new heater core thinking that was leaking. Turns out that it isn't. Where else could I be loosing so much coolant?

Obvious places include the hoses where they are clamped, the water pump gasket, and any fittings on the radiator, including the cap. Sometimes leaks only occur under pressure, so check while the engine is at operating temp and look for small streams pissing out from some of these places. Other leaks only occur when the engine is cold, in which case you generally find antifreeze on the ground. If antifreeze is dried up you can often still spot residue.

If all of that fails, it is also possible that you are leaking antifreeze into the engine via a leaking head gasket or other means. You would notice either puffy white smoke billowing from the exhaust if it is leaking into the cylinders, or you would notice a milky white residue in the oil if it is leaking into there.

My van is leaking antifreeze for the botton of the car isee it dripping off the transmission pan it is over heating and i loosing a lot of antifreeze

you may have blown a manifold gasket. check oil and see if it is milky looking. Does oil pressure light come on? If so the gasket is blown. I had a leak once and it was ths gasket, but none was leaking into oil, just out onto the engine near the intake manifold. You may also have a corroded freeze plug. If you live up north and get a lot of snow and road salt, this could really be the issue. They are not easy to change on front wheel drive engines. Sorry. Have a great 4th of July.

You should run the engine and watch it to see if you can see where the leak is coming from, it is most likely coming from a hose or the water pump.

Leaking antifreeze

you need a water pump. water pump is inside the timing chain area/internal. the coolant is leaking out of a small hole behind the a/c compressor. water pump WILL fix it.
