Start by checking power an grounds at the control panel ,you'll have to take the plastic trim panel off to get the control panel out . You could have a bad HVAC panel ,
HVAC Control Module
The HVAC control module is a class 2 device that interfaces between the operator and the HVAC system to maintain air temperature and distribution settings. The battery positive voltage circuit provides power that the control module uses for keep alive memory (KAM). If the battery positive voltage circuit loses power, all HVAC DTCs and settings will be erased from KAM. The body control module (BCM), which is the vehicle mode master, provides a device on signal. The control module supports the following features:

I have a suzuki jimny 2002 and get check engine light on and code P1600 an P0763 and when the switch is on i hear the relay on the TCM. can you suggest?

P0763 - Shift Solenoid C Electrical
Possible causes- Faulty shift solenoid C valve
- Shift solenoid C valve harness or connectors
- Shift solenoid C valve circuit is open or shorted
- Low transmission fluid level
- Dirty transmission fluid
When is the code detected? The P0763 code is detected when the gear required by the ECM does not match the actual gear when vehicle is driven.Symptoms- Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
- Transmission will not shift gears.P0763 Description Shift solenoid valve C is turned ON or OFF by the Transmission Control Module (TCM) in response to signals sent from the park/neutral position (PNP) switch, vehicle speed and Engine Control Module (ECM) (throttle opening). Gears will then be shifted to the optimum position.

Kam voltage

The Keep Alive Memory (KAM) voltage to the onboard computer has been interrupted. Either by a dead battery (for whatever reason) a disconnected battery, sombody pulled the fuse out of the fuse block, or there is a bad connection in the circuit leading to the computer.

P1600 is displayed on screen. how do you reset it if it has been reset 5 times before but each time it does not go off

P1600-This Relates to Powertrain Control Module Battery Backup Circuit. It will only reset if it is either an intermittent fault or has been repaired. This module and wiring will need inspecting, testing and possible replacement to enable resetting the flash code.I hope this helps,or get back with your findings based upon this info and we can move towards a positive repair solution.

Code is p1600 and says see service manual?

the P1600 is loss of the computer2_bing.gif keep alive memory circuit, this could be a loose connector or connector pin at the computer, or the computer may have an internal fault, check these items first before anything else.

Internal Control Module Keep Alive Memory (KAM)

P0603 means Internal Control Module Keep Alive Memory (KAM) Error

In other words, that code is set when the PCM loses "keep alive" memory B+.

This code can also be set if the batteries went dead at some point, but mainly it means there is an open circuit detected in the KAM circuit.

On a '97 F-250, check for a 5 amp fuse blown in fuse cavity #2. If the fuse is blown, check for and repair the short-to-ground in circuit #729 (red with white coloured wire).

Good luck dear.

P0603 DTC code- internal ctrl mod kam error

"kam" is keep alive memory, which is memory in your powertrain computer that needs to always have battery power to be kept... if your battery has been disconnected, this is what caused this code to be logged. If not, you might want to check for a blown fuse to your control module or a short circuit in the wiring to your module... That is if the code is still active, if the code is a stored code it just means at some point in time the module lost power (battery disconnected, fuse pulled, ...) and now it has worked fine since...
