Question about 1997 Chrysler Town & Country
Unfortunately you have to point fingers at the Chrysler engineers that though this one up. It is almost a direct shot from your defrost vents to your blower housing. All of the dirt, sand, dust & junk that has gone down those vent holes over the past 12 years is now built up at the base of your blower and causing the blades and shaft to bind. The burnt smell is from the plastic blades rubbing through the ****. You need to dismantle the blower housing give it a good cleaning, go ahead and replace the motor and the blades, they're fairly cheap and put screens over your defrost vent holes.
