My check engine light came on and stayed on. It don't drive different. can you help me with this
Run over to an autozone, or pep boys for a free trouble code scan & go from there. Get back to us with codes if you need more help. Easier & cheaper than guessing.

One of the most common causes of this code is the gas cap is faulty.
Remove gas cap, clean all areas where threads meet, maybe a even apply a little vaseline to threads & "O'" ring seal, erase codes & try a gain & see what happens. If it came on not long after putting gas in it, then there's a good chance. If cleaning it doesn't remove the code, I'd buy a new one.

You can go to autozone and have the error codes pulled off your car's computer for free. Then once you know the problem, you can decide whether to tackle it yourself or call a mechanic. Hope this helps.

Your check engine light is telling that a sensor somewhere has failed. If you take your car to your local "autozone" they will check it for you for free, and let you know what sensor has failed. From there, the actual replacement is up to you; I'm sure your autozone associate would be happy to show you the location of, and explain the process of replacing the bad sensor.
I hope this information helps you, and I wish you luck on your repair.

First of all if you have a autozone need you and take the car there they will test it for free but for the most part its a EGR valve,Vaccum line off or bad or a O2-Sensor get it on a machine and then you know what you need to repair Michigan Man.

Have the computer scanned for active codes and write back. If you don't have a mechanic, AUTOZONE, PEPBOYS, and ADVANCE AUTO will do it for free.

P0455 is an emission code. It reads, evaporative emission control system, gross leak detected. And also evaporator control incorrect purge flow. This has to do with your E-VAP system. Check your fuel cap, see if it is loose or if the O-ring is damaged. Also inspect your vacuum lines. see if one of them is cracked or broken.
