My recommendation would be to go to autozone or pepboys and buy a "Haynes" manual on the year, make and model. They go for about 14.99. In this manual it will show you step by step directions on how to take the door panel off and put it back together. That way you can investgate further.

2005 Chevy Cavalier Power Window Motor Fix?

the cheapest way to replace your window motor would be to go to a salvage yard to get the replacement. they are not very hard to install the hardest part of the job is removing the door panel without breaking the clips that hold it in place. just slide a big flathead screwdriver in between the plastic door panel and the metal door frame and twist the screwdriver that way the clips wont break on you.

I have a 2002 Chevy Cavalier 4-dr, 2.4 liter Z24 model. Currently, my problem is that the rear windows will not go up after being placed in the down position. The equipment on this vehicle is all original...

More than likely looking at a window motor (Assuming they are electric)
Some vehicles, you can only purchase the motor and regulator as an assembly. In some cases the regulator goes bad, and the motor cant move it. To determine this, you need to see 12 volts DC at the motor harness, (positive and ground) and it will reverse when switching the motor the other direction.

My 2002 kia sportage window is down and it makes a noise when I try to put in up but it will not move, they are electrical windows

I would guess your window regulator has broken. You most likely here the motor and regulator components running but the glass is no longer attached to the regulator. You will have to remove the inside door panel and visually inspect the regulator assembly to determine what needs to be replaced.

Hi, My 2002 Chevy Cavaliers windows have started having trouble rolling up. It seems they roll down fine, it's just when you try to roll them up either the 'button' doesn't work at all or it works...

Try spraying silicone spray down the sides (felt) where window slides (guides) up & down. Put window all the way down, spray them well, top to bottom, then run window up & down a few times. May not cure it, but should help. Be generous with it, but a little clean up later may be needed.

2002 Jeep Cherokee Rear Passenger Side Window Slides down with no

i CAREFULLY REMOVED THE PANEL, THE SPEAKER, TAKING PHOTOS ALONG THE WAY (INCLUDING PHOTOS INSIDE THE DOOR WHERE I COULD NOT SEE), AND EVENTUALLY REMOVED THE TRACK WITH THE MOTOR AND CABLE. i FOUND THE PLASTIC MOUNT FOR THE UPPER CABLE BROKEN. AFTER MUCH STUDYING I FOUND THE CABLE SNAGGED ON THE REEL. I CLEARED THE SNAG AND LUBED THE REEL. I DRILLED A HOLE TO ACCEPT THE CABLE END AT ABOUT THE RIGHT DISTANCE , INSERTED A SCREW AND EPOXIED THE SCREW AND END IN POSITION, I HUNG THE ASSEMBLY ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE DOOR , PLUGGED THE SWITCH IN AND TURNED THE CAR ON -- THE TRACK WORKED PERFECT. I REPLACED ALL COMPONENTS, ATTACHED THE WINDOW, REPLACED THE PLASTIC REATTACHED THE LINKAGES TO THE LOCK AND DOOR OPENER. WORKS GREAT. SAVED SEVERAL HUNDRED DOLLARS FOR THE COST OF A COUPLE OF HOURS AND A SCREW AND JB WELD EPOXY.MEMBRANE, REINSTALLEED THE SPEAKER, 8f290b9.jpg2679bfa.jpgf4a65ed.jpg

94 cavalier window

I work on alot of broken power windows. The biggest cause of windows not working properly are the bearings in the gear assembly. The manufacturers use plastic bearings and they wear out and turn to dust. Or break into pieces and jam the assembly up. Open the gear assembly(attached to window motor) and see if the bearings are either falling apart or a part has broken off and is jamming the assembly. These bearings can be replaced with the same bearings used on most passenger car wheel bearings. I hope this is your problem because its and easy fix.

Window problem

You need to take the door cover off, then pull the plastic away till you can see the rivets. Drill the rivets out. As the window slides down , you need to take the two bolts that hold the window to the regulator off, ther is a slot open in the door frame for this. Then pull the motor and regulator out thru the big hole in the frame. Drill the rivets out on the motor , so u can reuse the regulator. You can either use nuts and bolts or rivets to put the motor and regulator back together. But when u put the motor back in the door, unless u have access to a body shot, using bolts to mount it to the door frame is best
