Question about 2006 Nissan Murano
The blower fan started out making just a little noise that has progressed over time. Now the noise is so loud that no one wants it on. it is not only loud but it wound like it bumps into things and the sound changes sometimes like the fan blades are trying to clipping something, other times it is just a big metal grinding noise. My husband says the fan needs to be replaced. How do I get to it and re place it.

99% of vehicles they are right above where your passengers feet are. typically 3 screws hold em in there and a connector. your owners manual may show how to change the cabin filter. do that while youre in there too.

Sonds like the fan to me. Yes, those are available separately. Water pump is internal inside of the timing cover and those are pretty bullet proof. Fan is most likely NG. Not that common. I have replaced only 1 in 12 years with Nissan.

I have a 2002 nissan Maxima. The AC controls only blow on level 4. No air or heat blows from level 1-3. What do I need to do to repair this problem?

Me again. After looking at the blade for 15 minutes or so I did the following. Remove the wiper blade from vehicle (makes it easier to work on). There is a little tab under the blade near the end of the wiper blade arm. Press it and slide/pull the wiper blade toward you. Now when you look at the wiper it seems like its a sealed unit. Check the ends and you will see the rubber is flexibe enough to allow you to slid the "wiper" out ot the blade. You can get the replacement refill (the wiper) or a replacement wiper blade (the whole unit) from the Nissan dealer. Take the refill and slide into the blade assembly. Take your time. You might have to straighten the blade a little so that the refile lines up with the holding tabs in the blade. Looks impossible, but once you've done it you'll be surprised how simple it was to do......****

Had same problem. Replace Blower Motor. Over a 100 dollars at local parts store, but found online for half price. About 30 minutes to replace. http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/raframecatalog.php?carcode=1431961&parttype=6916
6 screws to remove glove box, One plastic nut on kick panel and 3 screws hold the blower to the air box.
