The only way to reset the system is to disconnect battery cables for 10 minutes and before connecting the cables touch together to completely make sure there is no power left in the system

try tapping on it a bit or banging on it, but before you do, let me tell you that you need a new fuel pump or the hose could have something in it blocking flow or something.

The fuel pump is a constant pressure pump, therefore needs no timing. As the engine is not mechanically timed, the pump only needs to be spinning, doesnt actually need to be timed.

SOURCE: i need to know where
See picture below where the fuel pump cut off switch is located. The fuel pump relay is located in the power distribution box located in the engine compartment (see other picture). The relay is located in the R7 position in that box (see layout diagrams below). There is also a fuse for the fuel pump which is located in the same fuse panel. That fuse is in the nuber 12 position and should be a 15 amp fuse. All of this should be in your owners manual if you have one. If you don't and would like a copy, you can email me at email@example.com with your make, model and year and I will be happy to email you a copy. I hope this helps and good luck.
