A cigar fell into my front air vent/air dirstribution system of my 2007 HHR

Remove the vent cover to expose the raw opening of the vent. Do not change your selector switch, opening up internal junction points could cause the item to fall further into the system. Place the hose of a shop-vac into the exposed opening, and using a rag, plug up the remaining open spaces around the hose. You should be able to remove the item at this point by simply turning on the vacuum. It may take a couple tries of turning off and on again, depending on how complex your duct system is, and how deep the item has fallen. But, you'll get it eventually. In your case, the item is very light in comparison to the relative surface area that with react to the vacuum, so this should do the trick.

Battery fell down the heater vent and i cannot get it out. how do i get to it?

How important is this battery? To retrieve it you have to take the dash completely apart. this is a 6 to8 hour job for some one that has done it before.

My diamond necklace fell into my heater vents. I was able grab the chain in time but the diamond fell down into the vent. How do I get into the dash AND the heater vents to retrieve my diamond?

A Ford dealer might be able to help you. The vent heat and air goes down to the air heater, it you take that loose the diamound might just fall out.

How do I replace the side marker light on the driver's side on a 2007 H3 Hummer. How do I get to it to replace it?

Carefully pry the light away from body as it is held by two plastic clips. These clips like to break. I have to replace mine because the clips just fell apart. Crapy workmanship.

Lost ring in dash vent

Your vehicle has a central fan blower under the dash that feeds the cooled or heated air to the vents thru plastic tubes, sometimes round, sometimes flattened and curved to get from spot to spot. There are large vents at the base of the blower unit that supply air to the floor. If you locate that you can find the blower. Then there are smaller tubes that go to the other front and side dash vents. Be careful as there are wires and vacuum lines in the area which are connected to your vent controls on the dash. The bad news is that the top dash vents are usually fed from the top of the blower and may actually require a contortionist or partial dash and blower system disassembly to gain access. If you are lucky perhaps the ring fell all the way into the blower box itself and you may find that removing the side vent tubes alone will allow you to reach in the blower box and retrieve it. Otherwise it may take a professional a couple of hours to do the job and of course they will charge you accordingly. It's up to the value of the ring. Good Luck!
