I got a 1998 SVT cobra my speedometer seems to be reading 10 mph faster than what I'm going what would cause that ? at highway speeds it says 80mph when going 70 just bought the car

check rim sizes and tires fitted as they may be smaller than the speedo sender is gear ed for
smaller dia. tires = faster speedo reading as the speedo reads off drive shaft speed

427 runs hot

What size stat do you have in the car as 220 is not a high temp most small blocks will run 220 to 235. I guess you could change the stat it might be sticking some. The other thing to look for is does the system have an air lock, is it knocking when at operating temp. What temp is the fans kicking on at, they maybe turning on late. Hope this helps.

My front passenger tire of my 98 Corolla will not come off. I took off the lugnuts, but it seems like there is another big bolt holding it on?

Give it a boot, it should pop off, the aluminum oxidizes and sticks to the steel, There is no big bolt. Just lug nuts. Hope this helps.

Hi, the aluminum drive brackets from a vortec small block will not fit a big block, especially an older one, due to hole location, bracket shape and size.

Porsche 944 drive shaft torx key bolts

I ran into a similar problem when working on the bolts that hold the 4 piston calipers together on my BMW 2002Tii, that the Torx was too small and rounding off the inside edges of the bolt head. Being unable to find a bit that was between the x5 and next size up x0 torx, I decided to consult an expert. After going to the service department of my local dealership and talking to some of the older and more knowledgeable guys, we determined that the easiest fix is to take a cheap torx bit and grind down the tip of it so the bit engages a little bit more, since the bit tapers towards the end this would give much more of a positive engagement. Worked great after 3 minutes on a belt sander.

I bought a 1984 full size blazer. It doesn't have a rear drive shaft. I bought one but it won't fit as there is a yoke on the transfer case in stead of a splined shaft. Did chevy make a slip-joint type...

I went to another company with real experts who can speak english and make sense. he found the answer right away and gave me some sources to purchase the right shaft.
