normaly you can just turn the distributor to adjust the timing using a timing light

Stalls when put into gear

many things can cause this. the most common problem would be that the timing is slightly off. (fixed sometimes by adjusting the distributor) it could also be a bad fuel pump (or clogged fuel filter) this would allow enough fuel to run the engine in park but not enough to run the engine under stress. clogged air filter could also cause this (not allowing enough air into the cylinders). I would change the air filter and fuel filter. then crank the vehicle and slowly turn the distributor (finding the best idle position) then see what happens. lastly replace the fuel pump.

Choke adjust

Does it not idle even after the engine warms up ?
That sounds like a vac leak, or not enough gas coming thru the idle circuit of the carb.

What carburator is stock for 1984 ford bronco 2 2.8 liter

http://www.hotrodders.com/forum/carb-2-8-l-v6-1984-ford-bronco-ii-132065.html

according to the site, a <350cfm holley carb should fit right on the motor and give you no problems, this will provide some reliability and tunability as well as aftermarket support for your application compared to factory, they should be very easy carbs to find used on ebay and such

I have a 1984 Ford Bronco 2, 2.8 V6. The router is turned 180 degrees (toward the drivers side) when it is supposed to be turned toward the passengers side. What is the best way to get that turned the way...

If you are talking about the rotor in the distributer then you have to remove the distributor enough to rotate it. if it is out of time the best way to do this is go to this link
http://www.aa1car.com/library/distributor.htm
go to the bottom of page and follow distributer replacement.

How

WOW!! Did they put a gas tank with the right fuel pump and the computer harness and computer from the other vehicle? You would need all those items from the vehicle the motor came from.
