You might be better off to go to a junkyard and take the connector and about 10 or 12 inches of the wiring with it.

I would get a service manual for that yr, model etc., it should have the wring diagram in it that should tell you where the wires (color of wires and so forth) go, or contact the dealership that makes that brand.

You may need to go to your local GM dealer and ask the service manager if he can print you off a diagram showing it. Make sure you have the VIN# to the vehicle, the two wires you speak of runs to the computer but I can't help you other than that and you don't want to cross the wires up or you can possibly short the computer out. Hope this helps you.

2008silverado 4.3v6 has miss when you ecellrate changed plugs doing it again engine light back on

Since the engine light is back on the code is likely to help you diagnose the problem.
1. If you have a code reader for your car plug it in and it should tell you what the computer thinks the problem is.
Remember for the engine to miss it has to be loosing fuel or spark. The spark plugs are only one of the parts required to make a reliable spark in the plug as the engine is running.
2. Check the spark plug wires and the distributor internal for rust contamination around the reluctor magnet area. The 4.3 chevys are bad for this. Have someone start the car for you at night while you look under the hood for spark leakage. In the dark any wire leaking spark enough to make it miss on acceleration will flash blue lights in the dark.
3. Replace the fuel filter.
4. Check for vacuum leaks in the rubber tubing plugged in to the intake manifold.
5. Make sure the battery to engine ground cable is in good condition at both ends and tight.
6. Make sure the battery to chassis ground wire is connected clean and tight.
Good luck.

Stop by any good parts store and have them do an OBII scan (fault scan) Most will do it FREE. They'll pull codes and identify what is causing your "miss"

Check the coil packs that the spark plug wires are attached to if you're getting a misfire. Check pressure coming from your exhaust because of a clogged converter. UNDERHOOD (right side) - you will see the OBD1 connector. Try using a scan tool if the check engine light is on

The OBD2 system is on '96 and newer cars. There should be an OBD1 connection under the hood on the drivers side, But good luck finding an OBD1 scan tool.
