Question about 1999 Pontiac Grand Am GT
Is it a big job to replace a starter in a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am? I turn the ignition and the starter spins and must do it until the engine starts. I am assuming it is the starter. Is it easy to get to or is it a difficult job where I shold bring it to a mechanic? Thank you Sam
The way it works is there is a starter selenoid that when you turn ur key gives the selenoid power which makes the starter gear kick out to catch ur flex plate which turns the engine over it sounds like the drive gear on the starter is not kicking out as far as fixing it it is a farly simple job a few bolts and wires
