Question about 1994 Pontiac Bonneville
When i start the car in the morning, the fuel gauge marker on the dashboard immediately moves to the quater tank mark, dances a little before falling onto the empty mark. This happens even the tank is full. During the day, it sticks on the empty mark.
In the dash, there is a small step down transformer, from 12 volts to about 3. Seems to not be working have it checked out.

you have a bad sending unit inside your tank.
the resistance of the potentiometer inside is broke on the half tank part.
you have to replace it.
