Question about 1990 Ford Probe
I have a 1990 FOrd Probe. Someone had replaced radio. Now the radio quits working and then will work later. I am trying to figure out what the problem is. I have checked fused and nayda.
This could be due to a poor power connection - maybe a bad splice or something that loosens periodically.

Look in the owners manual and see if they have a circuit breaker or relay instead of a fuse. It could be bad and you would not see it.

Go to auto zone or O'reilley auto parts and buy the chilton Ford Probe 1989-1992 Repair Manual. Best source to fix almost anything on your Probe.

The check engine light will represent fault codes that the computer is sensing. Have a mechanic, or go to your local auto parts superstore and have them scan for the fault codes. This will at least give you an idea about some of your problems.

The pump should have a fuse in the fuse block. You need to check for power in the fuse block and you need to check power to the pump relay.
Sometimes there is a fusible link to the Relay. If you check the connector terminals for power where the Relay plugs in, you can determine if the fusible link has blown. You could have already replaced the bad parts and now need to restore power to the Relay.
