Question about Cars & Trucks
Oil pressure light is on at idle but is off when any revs are used. Correct oil and level. new switch installed. Problem is more apparent when engine is hot.
Now follow this advice to the letter ,go to spares shop and buy a nice big tin of STP oil additive ,use a funney in the oil filler to add the additive and leave the can to drain overnight as its very thick ,no slick stuff or a graphite additive just STP then as the light will stay off for a while you trade the car in quick .

check the engine oil level... you could possibly need to replace the oil pump soon... if you do not live in a cold climate i would consider using 30 or 50 weight oil. do NOT use that in a cold climate as the oil is like molasses when it gets cold.
that's only temporary. one other thing to consider is a clogged oil filter... when was the last time it was changed ?
