Fuel pump is not working. Open the gas filler and remove the gas cap. Have someone try to crank and see if you hear the fuel pump running.

Why car will start and then cut off if not give gas

If you rev up the car will it keep running, but not very well? It sounds like you may have a gas filter plugged or fuel pump issue. Also have a good automotive shop check for fault codes it may tell you what the problem is.

My mitsubishi endeavor 05 starts but idol keeps dropping and truck dies what can it be?

Could be your AIC air idle control, your TPS throttle positioning sensor, Air intake manifold gasket, weak fuel pump, or a good tune up. Can you keep it going, or it just doesn't idle? Does it start right away, or cranky starting? Is there any smoke? What color? Smell? Does it work differently after warm up? Has the car sat for a long period of time? Did the problem just occur or gradually occur? Also a long shot, but are gas stations putting ethonol in their fuel? Has a way of clogging filters up. Let me know how you make out and rate my solution please thanks

if the timing is off you wouldn't have good compression
make sure you have at least 136-170 psi and the different should not be more than 14 psi.

There are hairline cracks within your main relay soldering. U could either resolder yourself or replace it.

My Chevy Cavalier just stopped running all of a sudden

turn the key on, while having a buddy with the gas cap off listen for the fuel pump. If the fuel pump doesnt turn on than thats the problem. Try changing the relay first, if it were me I would bypass it first just to make sure. good luck

2000 323i stalling when i slow down

Here is what you need to do, a cleaning of the intake throttle blade and the idle speed control air-bypass valve, they get full of gunk over the miles and cause idle issues (stalls) like yours,
Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the engine at idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake

Sounds like you got some bad gas. I would either try an additive to remove water and some octane boost. If that doesn't work you will need to drain the tank. This has been a real problem with the price of gas going up. Some stations in my area have been shut down for putting water in the gas. If it was running fine before you got gas, then more than likely this is your problem.

Rtae this as a Fixya if this solves your problem. Ask more questions if you need to.
