The question about a rear vibration on a new 2015 gmc yukon xl denali should and that the dealership has five other 2015 denali that have the same problem

vibrations in a vehicle come from a drive shaft problem The fault normally starts to show up at about 40mph and lasts up to 70mph. It is described as harmonic in that it "throbs" in waves (harmonic) The vibrations can be from tight "U" joints in the drive line or from misalignment of the drive shaft. To understand this the diff angle at the pinion has to be the same as the transmission angle at the start of the drive shaft. For example --if the transmission is down at the rear by 2 degrees from the horizontal line then the diff angle at the pinion has to be 2 degrees up on the horizontal line to maintain the angular phasing of the joints. Some vehicles run a center bearing in the drive shaft and this brings into extra calculations to maintain the angular phasing of the joints For "U" joints to run properly there needs to be at least 1/2 a degree angle so that the needle rollers in the joints roll around to reduce wear. That means that if there is a center bearing mount in the drive line the angles that the drive shaft operate at have to be calculated correctly to maintain the correct phasing of the joints. For several new vehicles to have the same problem I would say that it is an assembly problem where components have not been assembled correctly according to the drive line angular requirements ( wrong transmission mounts/cross members) wrong center bearing mount bracket or wrong diff angle for the wheel base length. To fully understand what I am trying to say go on line to hardie spicer drive line angles and calculations. To have your vehicle checked take it to a drive line accredited shop and have the angles checked. If you find what I am saying then have them prepare a report for the dealer workshop and have it fixed under warranty.

Horizontal Angle reading on 56-CST205 tOTAL sTATION NOT CHANGING

if your horizontal angle reading is not changing, then either you have the horizontal hold on, where you can rotate the station and the angle readings remain the same, or You have a problem with the horizontal encoder or main circuit board, probably the main circuit board. If it's a hold button then just press it and things should go back to normal. If not then you'll have to bring it to a service shop. You might be able to get CST to sell you s new board, though most likely not since they were bought by Bosch, but the encoders need realigning. That requires an o-scopes to bring the encoder reading in line.

check for a fuel leak along the line. some where you have a loose fitting ie at the fuel filter, fuel line that is allowing the fuel to drain back to the tank The angle of the vehicle shows that airis being sucked into the system somewhere

How do you replace an alternater in a 1997 dodge ram 150 truck

    Hi,

    You will be needigng the below;

  • New alternator
  • Socket wrench set
  • Torque wrench

  • Determine which alternator your Dodge Ram will need. You'll want to be sure the new alternator is compatible with your Ram's engine. A Dodge Ram made after 2001 may be equipped with a 3.7 L, 4.7 L, 5.7 L Hemi V8, 5.9 L Magnum V8, 5.9 L Cummins diesel, 6.7 L Cummins diesel, 8.0 L Magnum or 8.3 L Viper engine.

Disconnect the negative battery cable with a socket wrench. Remove the accessory drive belt and disconnect the wiring harness from the alternator. You will also need to remove the support bracket with a socket wrench for 3.7 L, 4.7 L and 5.7 L engines.

Take the mounting bolts off of the alternator with a socket wrench and remove the alternator assembly.

Install the new alternator assembly. If you have a 3.7 L engine, tighten the horizontal bolts to 42 foot pounds and the vertical bolt to 29 foot pounds with a torque wrench. Torque the long horizontal bolt and vertical bolt to 41 foot pounds and the short horizontal bolt to 55 foot pounds for a 4.7 L engine. Torque the mounting bolts to 30 foot pounds for all other engines.

Connect the wiring harness to the alternator, install the accessory drive belt and connect the negative battery cable.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck.

How do you adjust a headlight from pointing up to the right height

    VERTICAL AIM ADJUSTMENT
    1. Park the vehicle on a level surface approximately 7.6 meters (25 feet)
from a vertical wall or screen directly in front of it.

    2. Measure the height from the
center of your headlamp to the
    ground and mark a 2.4 meter (8
    foot) horizontal reference line on
the vertical wall or screen at this
height (a piece of masking tape
works well). The center of the lamp
is marked by a 3.0 mm circle on the
    headlamp lens.

    3. Turn on the low beam headlamps to illuminate the wall or screen and
    open the hood.

    4. On the wall or screen you will
observe a light pattern with a
    distinct horizontal edge of high
intensity light with a slight angle
towards the right. If this edge is not
at the horizontal reference line, the
beam will need to be adjusted.

    5. Locate the vertical adjuster on
each headlamp, then use a 4 mm
    socket/wrench to turn the adjuster
    either counterclockwise (to adjust
down) or clockwise (to adjust up)
aligning the upper edge of the light
pattern up to the horizontal line
    .
    6. HORIZONTAL AIM IS NOT
    REQUIRED FOR THIS VEHICLE
    AND IS NON-ADJUSTABLE.

it sounds like your fuel lines aren't maintaining pressure and the angle is allowing too much fuel to drain out of the lines. i have the same issue with and older f350 diesel if i let it sit a while and it doesn't get started.
