You need to try to pull codes from the computer. If you get a code P0705 you may have a problem with the PNP switch or harness to the transmission control module.

My 2006 chevy cobalt wont run in drive it dies but will run good in reverse

On some old Buicks and Oldsmobiles the overdrive would stick on. A bandaid cure for them was to unplug the cable under the hood, but you no longer had overdrive. I heard that changing the transmission fluid would clear that up. There's no overdrive in Reverse.. placing the car in 1st or 2nd gear could bypass o/d also if they don't use the same gear set. Once up-to-speed, place the car in Drive. This only works if the reason the car dies is it can't accelerate in that high a gear at such a slow speed.

Blower motor only runs on low for 2006 sprinter van

If your blower runs at low speed at the highest speed setting, it is more likely to be the motor rather than the resistor array. If it runs at low speed setting only then it is likely to be the resistor array.

Blower motor on a chevy colorado p/u truck 2006 only runs on high speed setting

The Blower Motor Resistor burned out. The resistor drops the voltage down for your lower speeds, when it dies you only 1 speed. It's mounted to the side of the Heaterbox under the dash. It'll have a Plug on it with 4 or 5 wires, should be held in with two 8mm bolts

Heater fan seems to run at very low speed

If it smells like "Burnt Plastic",stop using it,and take it somewhere to get looked at,if your not a mechanic.
It's a pretty big job to remove the dash to get to the
blower fan. It sounds like the resistor, or fan blades are hitting the housing of the fan.Good luck.

Our 2006 chevy aveo turns over then dies when put in gear. Also, the cigarrette lighter and overhead light have quit working.

Idle speed is probably set too low. The computer should adjust this speed, so have engine codes run to ferret out any problems with sensors, etc. But first do this test: Crank car, let it idle. Raise hood, and move the big tube that goes to the throttle body a little. If the engine dies, you might have a tube that has developed a leak. Check all hoses for vaccuum leaks.
As for the lighter and overhead light, these are often wired to the same fuse. Check your fuses, Then check the wiring. Good luck with that!! Wiring problems can be a real dog to solve. With any luck, it's just a fuse.

My blazer after running a very short time will die

this sounds like a vaccum line and can very hard to find but if you spray carb cleaner over them while its running and your motor starts to miss then you found it . hope that helps

Cobalt not running at low rpm.......

All are possibilities but EGR valve makes the most sense. It's famous for causing poor idling and/or stalling at low RPMS. Best of luck.

04 chev optra i have no daytime running lights and no low beam but the high beam works i have swaped fuses and new bulbs what else can it be

I have a similar problem with my 2005 Optra 5 - daytime running lights are hit/miss. About 3-4 years ago, the alarm started activating itself - FREQUENTLY. Turns out it was corroded wires. Now this. (Take heart - my Corolla had a similar problem - bad sockets - bulbs burned out faster than they could be replaced. Toyota never did admit responsibility.)
