Heater A/C blower won't shut off when key is out

Heater and a/c blower and the little lights on it won't shut off when key is out. Replaced relay, no help. Replaced ignition switch in 2010. Is this still draining the battery even if I turn everything off?

SOURCE: car brake lights won t turn off when car is shut down 1996 Honda Odyssey

It should be your brake light switch. There is a little plate welded to the arm of the pedal that has a hole with a rubber stopper. The rubber stopper is most likely missing, or damaged. You should be able to take a flashlight and see the plate and the switch. If the hole is plugged up, you will need the brake light switch, if not, replace the plug.

SOURCE: heater blower doesn't work for honda civic 2002

It sounds like your relay could be bad. When your relay contacts become worn your volt meter will show 12v coming out of the relay until you put a load on the circuit, then the power goes away. You have to get to the wire going to your blower either from the back of the relay or by sticking a straight pin through the hot wire. Clip your + lead to the pin and the - to a ground. Turn blower switch on. With the blower unplugged you will show 12v but when you plug in the blower the power will disappear. If this is the case your relay is bad.

SOURCE: where is the starter relay on a 94 Honda Accord

Yes, it sounds like your solenoid is bad and staying engaged against the flywheel, you could do an amperage draw and a voltage drop test to find out for sure, but you will need an DVOM and a amp clamp. Or you could take it into an auto parts store and they will test it for free. Hope this helps.

My 1992 Honda Accord Lx has problems with the lights through out the car...they start blinking on and off as soon as you open any door, and they stary blinking until the car is shut off and left alone for...

Wow. Well the dealer not having the equipment means they don't have the books anymore for a model that old. 10 years is usually their limit.
My first thought was a short in one of the circuits or an anti-theft problem. The lights flash and the horn blows when the alarm is on and a door is opened.
Trouble is, the heater and the lights are not connected in any way. Not even thru the key switch.
Something is providing power to these circuits with the key and the headlight switch off. If the headlight switch were the villain, the heater should not be affected. Same goes for the heater switch.
Now, I think there is a high speed blower relay. And there may be a parking light relay, and these relays may be in the same box in the engine compartment.
And they could have gotten wet or corroded.
See if you can find a blower relay and take it out. Same goes for the parking lights.

Defroster / heater fan won't shut off /1995 Buick Le Sabre

Moe, I think you hi blower relay is bad. With this I mean the contacts in the relay are welded shut and you should replace the relay if the blower is on high all the time. Do this by removing the black plastic cover right behind the engine and removing the relay all the way to the drivers side of the relay bank. you will have to insert a small screwdriver under the relay and bend the little tang that holds the relay in place. then slide the relay out towards you and remove the green lock tab and unplug the relay from the wiring harness. if the blower finally stops then just insert a new relay in its place and reassemble in the reverse order. Good luck.
