Where is the cooling fan sensor/switch located on this unidentified vehicle?

You are not giving a year, make, or model of vehicle, but as a general rule the coolant temp sensor (which many cars use for the fan) and/or the fan sensor are usually located near the water outlet for the upper radiator hose. This is also the location of the thermostat on most vehicles. Hope that helps.

My radiator fan stays on its not the relay, could it be the sensor? where is it located if it is the sensor? thanks laurie

Could very well be the sensor (thermostat). No idea where yours is located, but parts store location chart may help, or you could buy a shop manual.

Fan will not come on by itsself. Where is the coolant sensor located?

coolant temp sensor is usually located on the radiator. also check fan fuse, fan relay (in fuse box and relay box), and intake air temp sensor (thats usually on the intake tubing before throttle after Mass air flow sensor)(can be check with diag scan tool specific for that vehicle). if the fan is on a belt, check the fan belt and check for rotted or broken wires going to the fan motor.

Locate fan sensor on 1997 eagle vision

Your fans (low and high) have number of parts.
1. Temputure sensor
2. Hi and Lo fan relays (PCM)
3. Relay located in the fan assembly itself

If you car over heats either in idle or when you turn the air conditioner you are having an eletrical issue. The fix is easy but can take some time, rewireing and a relay.

Hope this helps

Cooling fan wont work

The water temp sensor is located near the thermostat housing. This sensor is what tells the ECM to turn the fan on/off. The water temp sending unit is located near the same area. You know you have the correct sensor is because the water temp sensor has a 2 prong plug. The water temp sending unit only has 1 prong.
