Try a salvge yard or at Ford dealership,be careful that from 92-96 they have changed alot, between light duty an heavy duty, and the difference in years as well. But i think you will be ok with used from 94-96,and i think that the heavy duty has a ratchet nut verses just a nut to hold the hub on

1996 fod f150 replacing front brack lines took clip offthe one that runs through frame tryed twisting it with vise grip doesnt move what am i doing rong

I am doing same job on 1999 F150 now. Some of the hoses are machined to look like they have several nuts on them. Actually they can be one solid piece. It must have something to do with having 2 places to fit a wrench instead of 1.

If you have similar line as me, there is a rounded part of the fitting on one side of the clip. There is a slim (1/8 inch) nut made onto the rounded edge part. That is where the metal line separates from the rubber hose. Also be aware, when I bought replacement hoses the hoses did not fit into my brackets. I had to reengineer the brackets to use them. Get extra clips and I hope I helped you.

Replacing a rear wheel bearing 1996 gmc sonoma 5 speed what all is involved does the axle have to come out or can you just take wheel and brakes drum off etc.

To remove the rear axle to replace a bearing you have to remove the rear differential cover and remove the small retaining bolt holds the spider gear shaft in place and then slide this shaft out far enough to remove the "C" shaped axle shaft retaining clip. Once this clip is off then the axle can be slid out and the bearing & seal replaced. Make sure that none of the spider gears or thrust washers behind them get out of place and you should use a new retaining bolt when reassembling the differential components as they come [or should come this way] with thread locker to prevent them from coming loose.

80 SERIES 4.5L 1996 petrol GXL.... front passenger axel seal is leakin wat is invovled in changin it like to do i have to remove the clips in the diff or is there ne major parts that r invovled

wheel, wheel locker, caliper, disc, spindle locknut, bearing retainer nut, wheel bearing, hub, this brings you to the major parts that require special tools to remove, if you're going to do this, get a good shop manual, it'll give you a break down on all parts and tools required, or go to the library and have a look at there manuals, it'll let you know if you want to get involved or not, good luck

How do you remove c-clips on axle of 95 ford rear end?

If you have already removed the outer axle bearing cover in the rear hub, try popping the axle out as some of them have a compression clip holding it in place in the differential. If it doesn't pop loose, you wil have to remove the differential cover and push the axle inward enough to access the retaining clip to remove it. It should slide out fairly easile once the axle is pushed in far enough to clear the retainer clip lock collar.

The wheel bearing assy is pressed into the hub---you need to remove the front hub assy and take it to a parts store that has a machine shop----or you go to a salvage yard and buy a used hub and install it--way easier...

Putting wheel bearings on vehicle

I discovered how to remove the front wheel bearings by phoning a FORD dealer after spending hours on sites like this getting nowhere ! The problem with removing said bearings from a front wheel drive 1990 Taurus and similar is the bearing must come out from the inside of the hub assy. After you have removed the retaining nut and the axle flange still won't budge, you must disconnect the lower steering link {ball joint} and pull the entire drive shaft out of the center of the hub.Underneath the seal for the existing bearing there is a retaining clip that holds in the bearing. If you sand the bore where bearing goes back it should be able to get back in without too much fight.
