SOURCE: how to replace a coolant level sensor, 2000 buick century

The coolant level sensor is located on the radiator. If you are looking at the engine from the front of the car it will be on the left side. There will some kind of clip holding it in the radiator. Removed the clip and pull the sensor out. You will lose coolant so try to swap it out quick or drain some of the coolant out. Once new sensor is installed, install clip to keep the sensor in place and reconnect the wires to the sensor. Crank the engine and make sure the coolant level is full. This should correct your problem.

SOURCE: Oil pressure sensor light comes on and oil level is fine

This is probably an oil pressure sensor problem.  Randomly going from 0 to over 130 is means the sensor is putting out out of range signals.  Mine would even read --- at times.  I told the mechanic to not spend any time troubleshooting just change the sensor.  $121 including parts, labor and tax.  The gage should read about 70 psi plus or minus several psi, and move up a PSI or two as you rev up the engine.  It took him about 10 minutes to change it, once he got the part.  There would have been a diagnostic charge of about $50, had I not been sure.

Two cooling fans controlled by three relay's . If only one fan is working ,that could be a problem .
Coolant Level Sensor Description
The coolant level sensor monitors the coolant level in the cooling system and indicates if the coolant is low. This sensor is located at the base of the radiator surge tank and is not serviceable.
CHECK COOLANT LEVEL (2)
The IPC receives a discrete input from the engine coolant level switch. The engine coolant level switch is normally closed. When the engine coolant is low, the engine coolant level switch opens. When the IPC receives an open signal from the engine coolant level switch, the IPC displays the message on the DIC.

2005 rendezvous. Changed serpenntine belt and replaced leaking front seal when took it down off the jacks it will not start. Turns over but acts like fuel has been shut off. Is this an anti theft or fuel...

Sounds like maybe you knocked the Crank Sensor loose, or possibly the injector plug harness up top near the alternator. Check all of your wiring really good in the vacinity that you were working in and around. If your anti theft light isnt flashing you in the face with the key on and engine off it isnt a fuel or theft issue. The anti theft system disables the fuel to the injectors, if you raised the car too high it can trigger the anti theft and it must be reset, but unlikely. Check all of your connections.

Engine light on ...message says =engine power reduced.. and now temp is reading hot ,message says check engine temperature ...have had fluid levels checked , they said i had plenty of coolant.....could it...

im going thru the same issue right now, for 1 dont let the needle go more then 3/4 line , you can damage other parts, ive had radiator , water pump, thermostat, coolant level checked and fan replaced but still same ish, ive learned allot dealing with this car , 1 if ur ls starts running hot in traffic or on street , then ur fan isnt working properly, my fan used to work but was loud and was on all the time , fixed that issue , now as i described in traffic she starts to go hot , ur fan is a hydraulic fan which is powered by power steering fluid so since i have a new fan the only problem could be is that my power steering pump isnt working not sending fluid thru fan, 2 if it has to do with the heads i was told to get rid of car, not worth the cost , i hope this wil help a bit and hopefully it isnt the heads

Lots of black corbon on plugs.this is camry 1995 le 4cy.please help.

hi black carbon on the plugs is a sign your engine is running rich for some reason perhaps the air filter is blocked and needs replacing or if its looking clean the coolant temperature sensor isnt working it may have stopped working if the coolant level has dropped so check thats ok as well before replacing the sensor as it wont work properly if its not in water good luck

Fuel level sensor isnt working correctly, it takes about 3 minutes for fuel level needle to correctly adjust itself to proper fuel level. Does the entire fuel pump need to be replaced?

No.You should be able to get a fuel level sensor separate depending on year and make of your vehicle.I could look it up for you but you did not state your year ,make ,and engine size.Don`t know if you an get this part at any part stores but I almost positive you an get at any GM dealership.I`ve replaced these before without replacing the complete fuel module sending unit.Hope this helps.Good luck.

Theres a symbol on my dashboard thats been blinking on and off for about a week. Its the same thermometer symbol thats on the temperature gage, but my car isnt overheating and the symbol on the gage isnt...

It may be due to a faulty coolant level sensor - look on the bottom of the coolant reservoir and you should see an electrical harness plugged in. That sensor detects how much coolant is in the system. If you're low on coolant, or if the sensor is malfunctioning, it could be the cause of the warning light. Check your coolant level, add as appropriate, and if it does not go away, look into changing the sensor.

Rear of the car levels off after being driven, but lowers again.

Yeah but the dealer should have done it. The sensor is controled by a rod conected to the axle. If this rod isnt wrong the car will not level to correct point.
while driving is the car level?
There may be a minor leak in the air system somewhere.
Since you took it to the dealer and they charged you I say complain about it untill they fix it right.
