Abs light stays on and the esc indicator light also but when you start it it shows it off

the operators guide shows what these mean and what to do.
lost that>? i have one, and 08 JK.
pages 105 to 116
it resets each drive. the opr guide says that, and does.
its a very complex system, you should RTM.

ill quote your missing pages.
ABS:
If the light remains on after start-up or comes on and
stays on at road speeds, it may indicate that the ABS has
detected a malfunction or has become inoperative. The
system reverts to standard non-anti-lock brakes.
ESP:/TCS
The ESP/TCS Indicator Light (located in the instrument
cluster), starts to flash as soon as the tires lose traction
and the ESP system becomes active. The ESP/TCS Indicator
Light also flashes when TCS is active. If the
ESP/TCS Indicator Light begins to flash during acceleration,
ease up on the accelerator and apply as little throttle
as possible. Be sure to adapt your speed and driving to
the prevailing road conditions

is this clear? if not ask more, questions , more specific and we can peel the onion deep as you want.

How do you reset tcs/slip light on a 1999 infinit q45

Hi there:

Pull the codes to get started. Normla process is when the slip light will flash on and then go off. TCS is your Traction Control System. It is normal for it to go off If the rear wheels are slipping. You may have worn tires or you are driving on ice or snow. Are you on a slippery surface when this happens? You can always shut the system down by pressing the TCS off button in the center console.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.

I have a 2002 Hyundai XG350. Today I went to get a remote start/keyless entry installed. When I left the shop I noticed the TCS light was on. I was running late for class so I had no time to stop and ask...

The TCS light is Traction Control System. It is a nusiance (in my opinion) that prevents tires from skidding in slick conditions. These cars seem to have very touchy electrical systems. That's all I can offer.

1990 volvo 740gl far left corner of dashboard has a yellow light thats on constantly. a diagram of a car with a zigzag road. whats that mean.

Either you have a problem with the TCS (Traction Control System), or the TCS is switched off. Most cars with TCS have a button on the shift or the dash labeled "TCS" or "TCS OFF". Find the button, and press it with the car running in gear. If the light goes out, problem solved.
If you cannot manually disengage TCS (no button), or when you press the TCS button the light flashes, check all your brakes and make sure none are dragging or worn out. Also make sure all your tires are properly inflated and balanced, and none are worn out.
TCS works by controlling your brakes on slippery roads and will dynamically apply the brakes to each wheel in order to prevent a skid, even when your foot is not on the brake pedal. During normal driving, the TCS light is out and will either come on briefly or flash when it is active and preventing your car from going into a skid. When the light is on constantly, the system is disabled- either because it was shut off by the driver pressing the TCS (or TCS OFF) button, or because the system has detected a brake problem and automatically disabled it for safety reasons. Worn or dragging brakes, a tire that is flat or worn, or even a wheel that is badly out of balance will cause the system to disable itself, and a severe wheel alignment problem will also.

I get stuck in third gear almost every time I take the car out. It has gotten to a point now where the other day, when it was raining, my car jolted, the steering wheel sort of locked and so did the wheels...

I've just copied this from wikipedia:-

A traction control system (TCS), also known as Anti-Slip Regulation (ASR), is typically (but not necessarily) a secondary function of the anti-lock braking system on production vehicles, and is designed to prevent loss of traction of the driven road wheels, and therefore maintain the control of the vehicle when excessive throttle is applied by the driver and the condition of the road surface (due to varying factors) is unable to cope with the torque applied.
The intervention can consist of one or more of the following:
  • ****** or suppress the spark to one or more cylinders
  • Reduce fuel supply to one or more cylinders
  • Brake one or more wheels
  • Close the throttle, if the vehicle is fitted with drive by wire throttle
  • In turbo-charged vehicles, the boost control solenoid can be actuated to reduce boost and therefore engine power.
Typically, the traction control system shares the electro-hydraulic brake actuator (but does not use the conventional master cylinder and servo), and the wheel speed sensors with the anti-lock braking system.

I'd suggest

1) Have a look at the Hyudai website, see if there's a forum or discussion group where the same problem has been encountered / resolved.

2) Getting it plugged into proper the diagnostic equipment.

My subaru forester flashes TCS light as i am driving it whats the problem

TCS is traction control system. It is a sensor that measures the quality of your traction with the road. If it is flashing, slow down and see if it stops. The problem is sometimes due to a faulty sensor and not the actual traction. J.

TCS light on

The TCS (Traction Control System) indicator comes on or flashes under the following conditions:

When you turn the ignition switch
to ON (II).

When you manually turn off the
TCS.

It flashes when the TCS is
regulating wheelspin.

If the system's diagnostics senses
a problem in the TCS, the indicator
will come on and stay on.

If the brakes overheat, the
indicator will come on.

If the TCS indicator comes on and stays on for more than 10 minutes while driving, pull to the side of the road when it is safe and turn off the engine. Reset the system by restarting the engine, and watch the TCS indicator. If the indicator remains on, or comes back on while driving, have the system inspected by your Honda dealer. You can still drive the vehicle without TCS.

This indicator will come on along with the ABS indicator if there is a problem in the anti-lock brake system.
The TCS indicator may occasionally come on for one or two seconds and then go out. This is normal.

Hope this helps you figure it out.
