SOURCE: torque specs on Chevy Silverado 2500 rear diff yoke.

There isn't a torque spec since those bearing are pre-loaded. You place the unit on a good known vic and get a breaker bar and you might even have to put an extention on that and you begin to tighten unitil you fell the bearing start to load...a little extra short turn wouldn't hurt at that point.

SOURCE: i'm looking for torque specs on the water pump

Fig. Exploded view of the water pump assembly mounting-4.3L engine

To install:

  1. Clean the gasket mounting surfaces.
NOTE The water pumps on some of the engines covered may have been installed using sealer only, no gasket, at the factory. If a gasket is supplied with the replacement part, it should be used. Otherwise, a 1 / 8 in. (3mm) bead of RTV sealer should be used around the sealing surface of the pump.
  2. Apply sealant to the water pump retainer threads.
  3. Install or connect the following:

Water pump using a new gasket. Tighten the water pump retainers to 89 inch lbs. (10 Nm) for 4.2L engines, or to 30 ft. lbs. (41 Nm) for 4.3L engines. For 5.3L engines, tighten the bolts to 11 ft. lbs. (15 Nm), then to 22 ft. lbs. (30 Nm). Coolant hose(s) Water pump pulley. Tighten the pulley bolts to 18 ft. lbs. (25 Nm). Fan or fan and clutch assembly Serpentine drive belt (if equipped) by positioning the belt over the pulleys and carefully allow the tensioner back into contact with the belt. V-belts (if equipped) and adjust the tension Upper fan shroud Negative battery cable
  4. Refill the engine cooling system.
  5. Run the engine and check for leaks.

Hope this help to solve it; rebember rated this post. Good luck.

1993 Chevy S10 Blazer Serpentine Belt replacement

You use a breaker bar to move the tensioner, remove the belt and use the tensioner to put it back. You draw the belt and pulleys on a sheet of paper before removing, otherwise there should be a small diagram of the belt and pulley positions on the fan shroud or radiator support.

The instructions I have for insalling the tensioner say "The tensioners are equipped with a square hole on the tensioner to rotate the tensioner arm for installation. A 1/2" socket driver wrench...

Yes, you use a long 1/2" ratchet or breaker bar
in the 1/2" square hole to release the belt tension

Don't need torque specs

I doubt you even own a torque wrench

How do i install my pacesetter headers on my 2000 chevy blazer and is there any trouble getting the manifold out. Will I be able to do this in the garage with basic tools?

as long as you have a torque wrench and torque it back down to the eng. specs. it is perfectly fine. as for the pace setter. make sure you correctly install the gaskets. and safley remove any objects from danger of heat.
