Replacing Wiper Blades or Not

Do not replace your wiper blades until you have tried this, get some warm soapy water, soft all purpose cloth. Hose down your front and rear windscreen (if fitted with wiper blades) with normal water, clean the windscreen as you would when washing the vehicle. Get your cloth and dip it into warm soapy water, if your wiper arm stays upright put it in that position other wise lift it up and put a piece of towel or similar under it. Now with the soapy cloth give the wiper blade edge a good scrub, up and down, hold the blade itself with one hand on one end, it may slide out, you will notice the cloth getting black, you are cleaning off all the dirt that is stuck on the wiper blade, simple as that. It is usually that dirt which causes your wiper blades not to clean properly, you will eventually need to replace it but give it a go, you will be surprised.

My front wiper blades on a 200O Jeep TJ Sport does not work when it's very cold. I need to know if I can replace it myself if I buy the part. Thanks

No need to go to the dealership for these. Wiper blades are consumable items that should be replaced at first signs of wear. You can buy aftermarket wiper blades at any auto parts store. Pep Boys, NAPA, Checkers, etc.

Reading your question again, I just want to make sure I understand it it the blades that dont work or is it the wiper drive motor that doesnt work?

My wiper blades stop working.

This sounds like the wiper motor. The brushes/commutators in the motor are probably fouling up. At high speed more current is sent to the motor so it works. If you replace the wiper motor this should solved the problem.
For the wiper pump check the fuse.
Then check to see if the fluid tube is clear and not plugged.
Finally check/clean electrical contacts on pump motor and if you can heard the wiper pump motor running when activated. If not replace pump motor. (they do wear out)

These parts can be gotten at auto recyclers also.

Renault Megane H/Back - 1999

Well im a girl and know nothing about cars and just had a nightmare with my wipers. Went to 3 garages yesterday who checked the motor and fuses and they were fine. They all said it was the wiper relay which I have had to order from Benfield motors-they are now selling the parts for renault...they didnt have a clue to be honest! The lads in Kwik Fit have been amazing and very helpful! Hope this helps. I am waiting for my relay to be fingers crossed!!
