Spark plugs are replaced when the electrodes are found to be corroded, burnt, cracked or oil fouled.

How can i fix the missfire on a cylinder toyota corolla 2000 1.8ltr

First you need to retrieve codes from the Engine control module. You can buy a cheap code retriever at harbor freight and get the codes. After you get the codes, if it is P0301 it means cyl #1, P0302 = cyl #2, P0303=cyl 3 and P0304= cyl 4. For ex: if you got P0301 you should remove the ignition coil #1(near the front of the engine, where the pulley is) and change its position with the coil # 2. Also remove the spark plug #1 and change the position with the spark plug #4. Clear the codes and start and run the engine until the check engine light goes on. Check for codes and see if the code change for a different code. If it change the position observe which one is the change. If is P0304 you have a bad spark plug, If it is P0302 you have a bad coil. If it repeat P0301, you have either a low compression, bad injector/connector, bad intake gasket them you should continue your diagnostic. I hope this help you.

I have a 2000 Toyota celica and it keeps fouling the spark plugs and running rough. Will changing coil packs fix problem?

I assume the car has lots of miles, the compression is low and the valve seals are letting oil pass across the valves to the cylinders, so you are burning oil, that is way. there is only one inexpensive thing that you can do, is replace the PCV valve if it is stuck open can increase the effects of oil burning.

The real fix, replace valve seals and piston rings ( very expensive).
the other fix replace the engine.

Please do not be mad a me for be objective and tell you what it is, good look Mr Paul.

Fuel filter location 2000 camry

The fuel filter is the LAST thing you need to look at. I would be first looking at the age of the spark plugs. Get the car to somebody who can scan it. If the scan result is a P-0301/2/3/4/5/6, that would indicate bad plugs.
