SOURCE: Removal of Front Door Handle Pintara Nissan

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge.

SOURCE: 95 Nissan Maxima with fuel injection issue.

Could be battery, starter or coolant sensor.

It is hard to understand / get across engine noises with words so difficult to diagnose over the net but try to push start the car and let me know if it starts ok with a push. Also, maybe try a jump start, preferably using a circuit protector if you have one.
Let me know results of the above.

1987 Nissan Sentra diagram for fuel line routing

There are many online wiring diagram solutions, but the cheapest way to find your diagram is to purchase a haynes or chilton manual from the local auto parts store. Both have excellent wiring, fuel lines, brakelines, etc diagrams. I prefer the Haynes manual myself.

Not getting fuel to motor

You can check the injector circuit with a test light. Have you verified no fuel is coming out of bottom of injectors, when the engine is cranking over? Use a flashlight, looking down the throttle body.

Ground a test light lead to a good ground. Pull injector connectors off, and turn key to on The white wire with red stripe is the power wire to both injectors, it is hot anytime key is on. The wire splices off to both injectors. If power is good, check the ground side of circuit: place the test light clip on the POSITIVE post of battery, and put probe into the ground terminal of the injector connector-the black wire. Now have someone cranking the engine over-the test light should be blinking. Every time it blinks, the computer is repeatedly grounding the injector circuit (internally) and this causes the injector "pulse"- turning the injector on for fuel to spray out. If both tests are good (power with key on, and blinking ground with engine cranking) the injector circuit is working as it should. If no power, check computer for power in-check the main relay, for one.
As for the injectors themselves, not likely both would go out at same time, but only way to test them on the vehicle is to put an ohm meter across the terminals and check resistance. Both should be similar, with low ohms showing, somewhere on the order of 2- 10 ohms, I don't know the specs for Nissan-check with the dealer.
Good luck, let me know what you find out.
To verify the injectors or the injector circuit is the problem, try a little starting fluid down the throttle body, or even carburetor cleaner. If the engine fires and runs a few seconds, then you know injectors or circuit is the problem.

I have a 1987 nissan pick up d-21 with the 3.5 DOHC engine and a 5 speed manual trans in this 4X4 I am pulling the engine out, do i have to pull the trans ? or can i oull just the engine? The oil pan seems...

I don't recall what those are like under there but things I have done to leave the transmission in are,
Pull the drive shafts and unbolt the transmission mount so it can be slid back but left in the truck.
Unbolt the mount (or leave it bolted if it will move enough) so the transmission still sits on it but jack the front of it up while lifting the motor so it can be pulled out of the trans enough to clear the input shaft.
Sometimes they take a little pull the motor forward and inch and then lift and inch then pull forward another inch and then lift another inch.....

Good luck on your swap. I was just doing the head on a 87 Nissan D21 with the Z24i and was looking for a later donar with ported injection for it instead of that TB injection also.

I have a 1987 nissan pathfinder v6 3.0 blows black smoke sputters wont go past 25 any suggestions, i did change the spark plugs...

not sure but this has a carburetor(to early for injection) and its supplying too much fuel to the engine.the carb will need to be rebuilt or replaced.if it has injection then it could be bad or dirty injectors a bad fuel pressure regulator allowing too much fuel into the cylinder.if it is injection then it will have a computer and the check engine light should be on and if its running this rich then the 02 sensor should be replaced as well.these are what can cause your problem and you will have to run the car hard for a while to clean out the excess fuel in the exhaust.

Could be the fuel pressure is too low, to supply enough fuel, at that engine speed. I've also seen a lot of corroded injector plugs on late 80's model Nissan vehicles.

Fuel pressure regulator for nissan nx se 1987. Where is is located its not on the fuel rail. Ive looked, ordered the new one due to the fact its the only thing that could be causing the problem.

Sit on the end of the fuel rail, where the injector's are at, is held on with three small bolt's, that's on fuel injection engine's, if it's a carburetor engine, don't have fuel regulator.

1987 chevy r20 carb with electric fuel injection

I would check the wires that make the injector function to see how much power is going to them (using a multimeter). Now check the wires on the injector that is not working and see if you have power there. If you do then you have a bad injector. I don't think you do since you said that you switch wires and you are getting fuel at that injector. Check your wiring harness for shorted out wires. It doesn't make sense for one side to be working and the other not to be. I don't think it is a problem with your ECU, but it may be. See what colors the wires are going to your injectors and trace them back to the ECU, a wiring diagram would help. You need to check to see if you are getting power from the control module to the harness. I believe, however, you are experience a shorted out wire somewhere in the harness. That is where I would start. If you confirm you are getting power to the control module, but you are losing it somewhere in the harness it may be easier to just run a new set of wires instead of tearing apart the harness.

Seems to be overfuelling

There should'nt be any fuel in your oil, it sounds like you might have a blown head gasket. If you think it might be overfuelling then remove the injector clips (don't mess up the order) and pour some fuel down the manifold and try start it. If it does'nt give a good effort at starting then I'd say you need to run a compression test. Sounds like you have a cracked block, warped head or bad head gasket.
