If you got on out of a newer vehicle they combined the park neutral switch and the reverse light switches to one plug. Yours should have two plugs near the lip of the pan on the front edge near the radiator. It also has 4 more plugs for the Input shaft speed, Output shaft speed, solenoids and Vehicle speed sensor.

Ask your mechanics to look into these things: Plug Coils. (Pic below)
Better replace with Used ones (Japan made) from half-cuts than to buy brand new genuine Honda (Thai made) because the latters only last me for less than 18 months ! (Not to mention costing an arm and a leg !)VTEC engine required 4 nos; I-DSI needed double (8 nos) due to 8 spark plugs within.......all the best, Billy.

I have a 1996 ford explorer 4 door 4 wheel drive with automoatic trans...what years will interchange mechanically with mine

1996 & up are OBD2, I suggest if you are going to try to play with Transmissions , you find a good 4WD aftermarket Shop & a 4WD Forum for you Exploder. The physical fit of the Transmission may not mean it will work properly.

Do I need to change transmission fluid on my 2005 ford freestyle

The high pressure filter and fluid are supposed to be changed at 60k intervals. Ford has a very specific oil for this transmission and the service fee will be $300 to $450 - mine was around $420.

No other car place will touch the CVS transmission in a Ford Freestyle and most Ford dealerships are clueless on thier maintenance and repairs. On most issues that crop up the first thing they want to do is swap it out - for $4000+.

Replace radiator

1. Disconnect the radiator fan motor connector. kcob130a.gif 2. Set the temperature control switch to the hot position. ecda063a.gif 3. Loosen the radiator drain plug to drain coolant. 4. Disconnect the upper and lower hose and overflow tube. 5. For vehicles with automatic transmission, disconnect the oil cooler hoses from the automatic transmission. Plug the ends of the oil cooler hoses and the automatic transmission fittings to prevent transmission fluid from spilling out and foreign material from entering. 6. Remove the radiator mounting bolts. 7. Remove the radiator and the fan motor together. 8. Remove the fan motor from the radiator. findme(''); findme(''); findme('');

Where is the back up light switch mine went out and i need to replace it. its on a 2000 mitsubishi eclipse

The reverse light switch will be on your transmission, mst likely near your shift linkage. It will look like large fitting with a hex head for a wrench to fit on and two wires with a plug coming out of the top. When you take this out, it will have a metal ball on the end that was in the transmission. Before removing it though, you may want to put a jumper wire across the two wires that plug into it and check the reverse lights. If they come on then, it is the switch, if not, you have a problem somewhere else. Let me know if this helps :)

Geo metro transmission slips and will not down shift into passing gear with pedle pressed to the floor

Auto Trans I had to replace solenoid in transmission there are two of them when you drop the pan. After testing with a 12 volt battery one was bad replaced and transmission works fine. Mine was a 1996, cost about $90 for solenoid.
