Which resistor? if your talking about the blower motor resistor it is behind the glove box. first you have to remove the glove box by opening it then prying the two tabs at the top on both sides so it opens farther then normal then remove it from the hinge. next just unplug the resistor and remove the two 8mm screws that hold it in.

Heater only works on 3 and 4 setting

Your heater motor speed selector only working on a couple levels is caused by a faulting blower motor resistor. This part is located on the evaporator case next to the blower motor itself. Two bolts remove the resistor and an electrical pigtail finishes it off.The location of this is underneath the dash on the pass front side.Happy Holidays!!

No this shouldn't be a big problem. It sounds like it is just the blower motor relay.

2003 Jeep Liberty heater fan problem

It is the blower motor resistor. Look under the passanger side dash and locate the fan housing (looks round and black in color. Then locate the resistor it will be in that housing usually withtwo ten millimeter nuts or two simple screws holding it in. unplug the harness to the resistor and remove the resistor. Part store price is approx. 50.00. Note: on aftermarket (not Jeep) resistor sometimes you have to modify the housing a little to get it in. Hope this helps.

What do you mean you "went through a car"??? Did you crash???
Generally one speed being "out" is caused by a burned out relay or resistor pack. Check those!!!

How to replace a blower motor resistor in a 2004 jeep liberty

You have to take the glove box off and it is right behind it, need a #20 Torx to take it replace it. The glove box is the hardest part of the job, I just replaced mine on an 05 Grand Cherokee but it didn't fix it for me, was well worth the $8.60 to try though.
