Question about Ford Ranger
This truck is very easy to replace the starter on. 1'st always check the box on the new starter to see if it needs shims, if it does they should be in the box.
All you need to do is disconnect the negative battery cable. Then remove the two starter bolts and cables of the starter.
If there is a cover over the flywheel/fle plate that prohibits you from removing the starter you may have to remove that as well.
Next all you do is hook up the wires to the new starter exactly how they came off and bolt it back on.
Good luck and hope this helps
