Question about 2012 Volkswagen Touareg VR6 Sport 4dr SUV 3.6L V6 4x4 8-speed Automatic
When the heat is on...the fan blows momentarily and then shuts down and the car never heats. Even tried manually turning the fan on top speed...and it does not blow.

If you are talking about the belt for the ac compressor, yes the heater should still work.
If the blower is not working, you will need to have the blower motor checked for voltage and ground.

Testimonial: "How do I go about checking the voltage and ground on blower motor? Can I do that myself? "
Just straight to the point, that is the sensor problem. just check this 2 sensor. ITS- INTERIOR TEMPARATURE SENSOR, OTS-outside temparature sensor. the sensor is faulty. couldnt get the reading and translater to ECU. so ecu didnt work on it.
