Problem for BMW 1998 Z3 Roadster

Replacing BMW decals on the side of the 1998 BMW Z3 roadster

Another question: We bought new BMW decals for the sides of the roadster - however, they are stuck with adhesive. We tried (carefully) to pull the old ones off, but didn't want to damage the car. Any ideas?

There is a spray product that I used a long time ago to remove the vinyl letters off a boat. It worked great just can't remember the name. Check with an auto paint supplyer.
