Hazard lamp switches fail in these all the time.  When they fail they can cause the turn signals to go heywire like blinking and staying on or blinking and turning off or also not work at all.  In order to remove you need to carefully pry off panel around the switch.  I perfer using a very small straight screw driver and go around the four corners of the bezel.  Note normally some of these tabs will brake.  its ok as long as you have a few left to reinstall.  Once the cover is removed you will see the switch is infact a triangle cut out in a box.  To remove use to small straight screwdrivers and pry on both sides and it should pop out. Then just pull connector off back of switch.  Make sure connector doesn't fall back into dash this can be an issue trying to retrieve.   Always check new switch operation before reassembling.

Have 2000 A6 2.8 awd, just replaced hazard relay but turn signals still do not work. What else could it be?

If you have replaced the hazard switch and you are still having issues, the next step to take is to replace the actual turnsignal switch on the column.

My hazard warning switch light has remained on with everything switched off. The hazards work ok when the switch is depressed. The car is an Audi A6 2.7 TDI Quatro 2006.

Either 1 of 2 things. Relay inside hazard switch goes bad often. If that is not it, then usually you would end up replacing the actual turnsignal column switch. But a new Hazard switch should do it.

Turn signals not working audi a6 2002

turn signal switch most likely. But it could have a faulty flasher relay. the signals and the hazards probably have seperate flasher relays and possibly on different circuits so check fuses as well

My blinkers won't work, the light just stays on (not blinking) do I need to replace the flasher? Where is it? The hazards work. It's a 2003 Audi A6

The relay is built into the hazard switch. It could be that or the turn signal switch. Try the hazard switch first (it's relatively cheap). If that doesn't do it, you'll have to replace the turn signal switch, which involves removal of the steering wheel and airbag.

I need to change the flasher relay on my 2000 A6 Quatro. I have removed the cover above the radio, to expose the hazard switch, but I cannot get the hazard switch out. How can I get the hazard switch out ?

The hazard switch is hard to get out. It has one clip on each side. By using a flat screwdriver on one side, and conciderable force, the whole thing came sliding out.

2004 audi A6 flasher lights

You need a new hazard light switch - the relay for the hazards and turn signals is built in. It's $40 or so at a dealership to buy a new one.

Signal lights stay on

Its common for the sockets to burn up.  If you installed and the lights are still coming on.  The issue is the hazard light switch is bad.  If it were me I would replace the burnt socket anyway since it has been damaged and replace the hazard lite switch too.
