I would check the tires first to make sure they are properly filled you should have around 40lbs or so keep in mind that as u drive the tires heat up which causes air to expand, and when they cool the air will shrink also check valve stems make sure they arnt leaking spray some windex on them see if u see air bubbles coming out or not. if u are low on air would recomand filling the tires up at night when its cool out air is more dense when its cool then hot will help keep your tire pressure from fluctuating as much or you can look into getting the tires filled with nitrogen. i dont think there is a way to turn that light off you can try the same way u reset the oil light on that car put key in on position press gas three or five times cant remember then start the car see if it flashes and goes off dont worry u wont flood the motor its electronic fuel injection let me know if this helped u any

could be that the new tires are putting the parameters out side that set for the sensor

What does service tire monitor mean on a 2005 chevy tahoe means

It means you have a malfunction in the TPMS system. First you can try to do a reset as follows: 1. key on, engine off, parking brake on. 2. turn park lights on and off 4 times you will hear a horn chirp twice, you are in program mode. Start at L/F tire release air for 10 seconds, wait 15 seconds until horn chirp, after chirp go to R/F tire do the same until horn chirp then R/R let air out til the chirp then L/R do the same after the L/R chirp, turn key off and you are done, note you have only 5 min. to complete. If you do not hear horn chirp at each tire, you will have to start from beginning. When complete, remember to add air to each tire, 35 psi is recommended.
If that does not work you probably have a bad TPMS sensor, which will have to be replaced. Some auto parts stores will test your sensors for free, so check around.

08 gmc sierra 2500 service tire monitor system stays on. All tires are the same. New tires put on 2 weeks ago.

Maybe one of the tires was put on the rim backwards or one is low air because they should of balanced those tires first .

Service tire monitor light is on

is it just a dummy light on the dash or is it more specific like L.F tire low, ect? if its a dummy light then you need to go to a garage with a tire pressure monitor service to to check to see if the batteries in the monitors are still good or if you are just dealing with a leaking tire. If you Tahoe uses wheel speed sensors to monitor tires and pressure you may have a faulty wheel speed sensor or a heads up that your wheel bearing is wearing and the gap between the tone ring and sensor have increase or decreased good luck

The service tire monitor warning comes on. How do I reset and is it anything I should worry about.

Just air up the tires and the spare and it will go off on it's own, if you had a flat it has to be reset another way let me know if the air pressure does not change it but it should. Most tire pressure systems will reset once you have the correct air pressure in them.

New tires and rims were installed on my 2005 Pacifica and now the service tire system soon, light is on. Why?

This particular car has the tire pressure monitoring system on it with sensors in the wheels. If the sensor was messed up when it was reenstalled on the new rim it would throw this code. Some vehicles have the sensors with specific mount locations and if one of the sensors was reenstalled in the wrong location it could cause this fault. You can take it to the dealer and have them check the sensors and see if all are reading properly and are in the right locations.
