Fuel pump not getting power no codes

Does the car have an immobliser fitted if so it may have cut the power to it? Have you checked the inertia switch that maybe faulty? Check power at the fuel pump fuse and at the relay!

2000 kia sephia cranks but engine wont run

The fuel pump may have died. Can you hear it turn on briefly, by turning the key to "on"? You may have to stand by the gas tank while someone turns the key to on. It should turn on for about 2 seconds and then stop, after pressurizing the fuel system. If you don't hear it, then check the fuel pump fuse. If the fuse is good, and the pump won't run, one needs to check that the fuel pump wire at the tank connector has battery voltage on it when the engine is cranking-then, you can assume the pump needs replacing.
If the pump is working and you have gas up to the engine, you would next check the ignition system. Start that by checking for spark on one of the spark plug wires.

I have a 97 tahoe. every morning i start it up it takes a few times before it fires on then its fine, but today i tried to start it up and the same thing happen. i let it set for a few minutes before...

Not the alternator, but a fuel pump or fuel filter could be the problem. BUT it depends on the indications. A fuel starvation problem would act like it was lunging and then dieing out before it died. If it just dies out suddenly, then I would suspect an electrical problem like a coil pack or cap.

I was driving i pull up to a stop and start to proceed thru the stop sign and then it cut off and wont start back up....

It could be the Fuel pump or a Number of other issues. If it has a Distributor cap, remove the distributor cap and watch the rotor as you crank the engine. If it doesn't turn then your timing belt is broken. I recommend you get the Haynes repair manual on your vehicle as it will outline other testing procedures so you can narrow the problem down.

check for fuel leaks, fuel pump fault , faulty pump line on the car. When you had stopped the fuel within the system may be draining off and the fuel pump is not holding on well. check this out

Car starts and cuts out after 2 to 3 seconds. fuel

When the ignition switch is turned on the pcm turns on the fuel pump by energizing the fuel pump relay. The PCM keeps the fuel pump on as long as the engine is cranking over or running. It does this by recieving pulses from the ignition module. If there are no referance pulses the PCM will turn the fuel pump relay off in 2 seconds with the ingnition on.

Most models also include a secondary control path through the oil presure switch witch will turn the fuel pump on after it detects oil presure.cranking time will be longer if the fuel pump doesn't recieve current until oil presure switch contact is closed.

Doesn't want to start at first

Before you crank try and cut key on for 5-10 seconds then off and back on then crank if cranks up then you have a fuel problem. this will allow pump to run and pump fuel up. could be a bad check valve in pump causing fuel to drain back
