Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Way -- too late for a recall on a 15 year old vehicle

With 49 years vehicle experience-- I can tell you
your in for lots of problems

You never buy a vehicle over 3 to 5 years old

And then have to make love to them may times a
year or you got problems with them also

I have a 2011 Kia Optima with 130000 miles on it. I go through 4 quarts of oil before my 3000 mile oil change. I was wounding if there is any kind of recall or what can you suggest.

As the engine wears out oil slips past rings and valve seals the oil becomes blowby and the engine just uses oil. It does not have to smoke to use oil.

I need a new head gasket. my kia sedona has a little over 75,000 miles on it. should I fix it or get rid of it? it is a 2004 I live in MA

if the rest of the vehicle is in good shape,, and you have knowledge of motors,, fix it, my Kia has 250k plus on it, so its well worth it, as long as the vehicle as a whole is in good shape

Window regulators for power windows // was there a recall and if so who do I contact. Estimate cost

We have nothing to do with MFG or Dealer
automobile warrantees

You talk to a dealer about your car
recalls & warrantee work

If you have as I see, a 2000 vehicle ,
well it was out of warrantee years ago

I don't know why, but we get a few
warrantee questions every week on
ten year old cars

3or 4 years,35,000 miles your done,move on

My 2004 mercury monteray is experiencing jerking while driving up inclines. I changed the fule filter and it was real dirty when i took it off and replaced with a new one, it went away for about 3 weeks...

Spark Plugs--change every 3 years, not over 70,000 miles
Bad EGR Valve
Ignition Misfires
Worn out O2 Sensors---- change front 2 at 100,000 miles
Clean MAF Sensor-----clean- once or twice a year

Your trans failed, because the fluid has to be
changed every 3 years,30,000 miles ,power
steering also 3 years

What type of oil does my 2003 kia spectra take?

You can use 5W 30 (what the manual requests), but these other oils will also work well with that car. I have tried them all and have more than 200,000 miles on my 03 Kia Spectra. The car has no mechanical issues. . . 10W 30, 10W 40. I use 10W 40 in the summer. The trick is to frequently change oil regardless of type and not let the oil go more than about 4,000 miles without an oil and filter change. That is the key to long life for these small motors. If you do that you NEVER will need to flush the motor and I would recommend you never use a commercial motor flush product. If the engine oil gets so dirty you think a flush is needed, then instead use a quart of transmission fluid, drive it for two weeks or 200 miles, then change the oil.

The 12 volt battery(LUCAS 065/3) on my FORD FIESTA 1100cc is 4 years old, in that time i have only driven 1,600 miles as my journeys are usually very local. I make sure i use the car twice a week to keep...

Running so few miles has accelerated the aging of the battery - the battery never had a chance to fully recharge in such small trips -  so now you have to replace it a year sooner than usual.
Just replace it.

Check engine light is on

I would disconnect the battery for three minutes and reconnect it. That should remove the code. You will have drive the car up to about 75 miles to see if the code does or does not show up again. It may have been reading the amount of air in the system from removal of the injector.

The sedons sat for two weeks while I was away. On

Replace the intermediate shaft. See TSB (KT2008101402). It connects the steering to the rack and the u-joint binds.

Rear window on 04 Explorer

You need to call your local Ford Dealership and find out if this is covered. There was a saftey recall that they pay for, including the repair to the paint and the metal. The TSB # is 05-24-02. Good Luck.
