SOURCE: Blend door not working.

The bleed door controls air temp not where it comes out, dash, floor, defroster, this is most likely a mode control switch problem, that switch is on the ac control head.

SOURCE: 2001 Dodge Stratus Transmission Problem

COULD BE LOSS OF ALL TRASMISSION FLUID, BROKEN HOSE, BLOWN PUMP,BURNT TRANSMISSION RINGS( HOW DID THE TRANNY OIL SMELL?) BURNT TRANNY FLUID OR A COMBINATION OF ANY OF THE ABOVE. IF IT JUST QUIT, YOU PROBABLY HAVE A SERIOUS PROBLEM THAT WILL REQUIRE A REBUILD OR A SALVAGE TRANSMISSION FROM A LOCAL WRECKING YARD. THE LATTER BEING THE CHEAPEST AND AT TIMES THE BETTER DEAL ALL AROUND, TIME WISE AND MONEY. VERSUS A REBUILD THAT REQUIRES NEW PARTS, BANDS, PUMP, SEALS AND ON AND ON PLUS HOURS OF LABOR TO FIX EQUALS ONE BIG BIG BILL!BEING A 2001 A TRANNY FROM A WRECKING YARD ISN'T GOING TO HAVE THAT MANY MILES ON IT EITHER SO YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO FIND SOME PRETTY DECENT ONES. THAT'S THE ROUTE I'D GO, BUT YOU'RE FREE TO CHOOSE EITHER CHOICE. I DON'T ENDORSE OR CONDEMN EITHER ONE, JUST POINT OUT THE GOOG AND THE WEAK IN EACH FOR YOU TO DECIDE! GOOD LUCK! SOURCE: how to change transmission fluid in a 2001 dooge

you need to take off the pan (leave the back ones in and remove all the others, then loosen the back ones to let the fluid out in the front. then remove the rest.)

SOURCE: how to change transmission fluid in a 2001 dooge

loosen bolts on bottom of trans pan, pull one corner lower than others, drain fluid into large flat container. Remove gasket and filter. replace both. replace pan cover careful to keep gasket in position. check owner manual for amount of fluid to fill and type of trans fluid. DO NOT OVERFILL- EVEN 2 OUNCES OVER CAN RUIN SEALS

More than likely the air temperature control blend door actuator is defective or the blend door flap is warped and sticking inside the air plenum.

I have a 2001 Stratus SE 2.4 l, suddenly the temperature control knob didnt work and stayed in hot.

The blend door actuator is located up high and forward on the heater case, changing it requires you to remove the dash, if you don't have A/C equipment you shouldn't try changing it. I've seen this before, try this remove the heater controls they are mounted to the center panel trim held in by clips pull out on the bottom of the center panel you may have to pry a little work your way up. As you pull the panel out check to see if the white connector is plugged in if not plug it in check the black connector as well. I hope this helps, take care

No heat Heater core is hot

If heater core is getting coolant circulating through it then you may have a temp blend door, or blend door actuator not working properly. The blend door is located in the air box under the dash, and the actuator is located on the air box. You may be able to visually check the operation while turning the temp knob, by locating the coresponding actuator on the air box and monitoring the movement. If it is moving ok and still no heat then the blend door, or lever is broken, which will require removal of the dash.
