When I'm doing a radiator I buy two gallons-you then follow instructions on bottle for diluting with water-some come pre-diluted- Denny

Theres a leak of radiator fluid close to the transmition bellow the car

hi there and welcome to fixya,

You'll need to replace the radiator hose if it is indeed where the leak is coming from. If it's neon green in color, that probably is radiator fluid. Have the engine run (from cold) and check the radiator fluid level. if it significantly lowers, then you have indeed a radiator fluid leak.

Hope this helps

My coolant is filling up with transmition fluid why?

Transmission fluid is sometimes cooled by way of a seperate internal tank within your radiator, the fluid is passed through hoses and steel or aluminum tubes from the transmission to the radiator, as the fluid flows thru the internal tank within the radiator it transfers heat from the fluid into the coolant within the radiator which then exchanges the heat from the coolant thru the radiator fins and into the ambiant air around the radiator.
That being said, if the internal transmission fluid tank or the connections at or within the radiator develop some sort of leak, the two fluids(coolant and transmission fluid) will mix and will show up where it shouldn't be! You may have an internal leak within the radiator, which means the radiator needs to be replaced.
Good Luck!

I need help, have tranny fluid in my radiator.... i have been rebuilding a 94 f-250, 2wd, e4od tranny, 5.8liter. , and my tranny fluid is milky, changed radiator, and problem still exists.. do i have my...

The only way that tranny fluid could get into the radiator is through the transmission cooler, which is inside the radiator. Maybe the replacement rad is NFG. In any case, the torque converter holds a lot of fluid, so just draining the tranny oil pan isn't enough. The torque converter needs draining as well to get all the bad stuff out. You probably just didn't get all of the old fluid out of it. Good luck with that.

My trans fluid is mixing with my radiator fluid, what can i do.

I hate to contradict the prior poster, but I would not see how a blown head gasket could get transmission fluid into the radiator. Motor oil, yes, but transmission fluid, no.

the transmission fluid in your tranny runs out of the transmission and up into the radiator to cool it off.

So if there is transmission fluid in the radiator, I'd look for a leak in the radiator. If it is mixing the two fluids then the leak is probalby internal.

Remember that if the radiator is now 'mixing' water and transmission fluid, there is a possibility that the fluid/water mixture may be going back into the transmission as well

2007 quadratrac transfer case

They run on the same fluid but have different fill ports. The transfer case has a fill hole on the back of the case. The fill plug is a big looking nut. Fill the case from there on a level ground until the fluid starts to come out, then it's full.
