SOURCE: 2006 gmac savana code p0059

On bank2 sensor 1 you have a problem with the internal heater in the O2 sensor. It can be a wiring connector or simply a bad O2 sensor.
The reason this heater is in the circuit is to improve the cold engine performance before the exhaust warms up. The element inside the O2 sensor could have burned out.

Have a 2009 silverado codes p0053,p0059 show chaned sinsors light still comes on

This is a heated oxygen sensor and the computer is detecting that there is a problem with the heater portion not working. And the other code is caused because the heater is not working.

This could be a fuse, wiring, a connector with a poor connection, or the heater in the oxygen sensor (replace oxygen sensor in that case).

Generally oxygen sensors should be changed every 60,000 miles as a regular maintenance item. And when I replace mine, I get better gas mileage (also my engine is more lively). So I see this as a money saving thing myself.

But just about everyone I know will REFUSE to replace their oxygen sensors for some reason???

Anyway information for troubleshooting and/or replacing this would probably be in an aftermarket repair manual for your vehicle (auto parts store). But this information would for sure be in a Factory Service Manual set for your vehicle which you can order from your dealer.

Have check engine light on 2006 GMC Yukon with heater resistor codes P0053, P0054, P0059 & P0060 when scanned. All four oxygen sensors have been replaced and have new PCM installed. What might b

The first thing you would have done is tested the pink wires for voltage. All four sensors get power for the heater circuits from the pink wires and two fuses. Very seldom do you have to replace more than one sensor. If the sensors have voltage and you have replaced the PCM, there must be a break in the harness somewhere. The heater circuits are grounded thru the PCM which is how it knows the heaters are working.

Trouble code p0059

Code P0059 is set when heater current requirements are too low or high in the heated oxygen sensor heater control circuit for sensor 1 on bank 2. Check the wiring and connections for high resistance. You could also have a bad sensor.

Ford explorer p0059 code

P0059 .02 sensor heater control circuit draw. 02 heater resistance What this means is the 02 is shorted or open or ECM . 2nd bank sensor one. What concern me is rough accleration, either the ECM subsituted a value to protect the catalytic or you do have a engine miss and P0059 under rationality ,logic appeared.I have to say your solution is to replace 02 sensor on the second bank.To find the second bank stand in front of the vehicle the valve cover closest to the front is bank one the valve cover fartherst from the front is bank two.

2007 Chevy Tahoe check engine scan codes: P0030, P0053, PO135 ~ Please advise or help : ( thought that advanced auto would have been a bit more helpful than handing me a piece of paper with codes and...

There is a fault with the inbuilt heater in the oxygen sensor, before the catalytic converter, on the exhaust pipe the same side of the engine as cylinder 1. The oxygen sensor has four wires within the cable sheath to the top of it. Two of the wires will share the same color. These wires supply power to an internal heating element wire within the sensor. Follow the cable from the oxygen sensor to the connector, you can do a lot testing here. Check the resistance between the two 'same coloured ' wires. The resistance is low, somewhere between 1 and 10 ohms. If there is no continuity (infinite resistance) then this is the fault and the sensor needs to be replaced. The codes: P0030 the oxygen sensor heater relay is at fault P0053 Oxygen heater resistance error P0135 Sensor 1 bank 1 error You are looking at replacement. A further confirmation take the connection from sensor 1 bank 1 and swap it with the sensor 1 bank 2 on the other side of the engine. The codes should 'transfer' and show P0036; P0059 and P0141.

2005 chevy astro code po59

HI, the DTC your Astro has set POO59 is set when the computer doesn't see the oxygen sensor heating up fast enough. This DTC is for the bank 2 sensor 1 oxygen sensor. I have rarely come across and other failure for this code other then the O2 its self. I would recommend to my customer to replace this sensor. Good luck and happy motoring

Check engine light will not go off

You have an error code activated. You can buy a code read which will also turn off the code or take it to a repair shop that will read the code and tell you what needs to be done to fix it. Most shops charge to read the code I belive that AMMCO advertises that they will read the code for free. Most dealers will chare about $30 to $50 to read the code. Something as simple as a bad gas cap could cause the light to come on.
