Question about 1987 Mercedes-Benz 300-Class

1 Answer

Erratic climate sensor problem

My mercedes Benz 300D 1987 suddenly begins to blow each time warmer, then the blower increases the speed and begins to cool again. It seems the sensor is working with some delay. The little vent on top near the reading lamp don't **** a piece of thin paper if I try to cover it.

Why is my 1987 300e Mercedes making a loud clanging noise at start up?

I would think the honeycomb ceramic "Brick" inside the Catalytic Converter has broken up, makes a terrible rattling when this happens.

I have a 1999 c230 benz and the a/c started blow when I first cranked it up but dies quickly. You can still feel the cold but the air will not blow.

Let the car warm up to normal operating temp and then try the heater. If the blower works for the heat it should not be a blower fuse. If the blower does not work at all, then check the fuse panel for a blown fuse. Unfortunately this will not tell you why the fuse blew. You probably have a bad blower motor. If you have climate control, there should be a variable resistor for blower speeds and that plug- in part may be burned out.

Model: 300D TURBO-DIESEL, YR:1985, Heating air blower not working

Hello, This system has a few components that can cause this. You may have a bad temp regulator box, located behind the glove box, or a bad temp sensor, at center of the dash, or a bad pushbutton unit, (climate control panel}
If you pull out your glove box, make sure that the foam hose that connects your temp sensor to the hard black tube is connected. This provides airflow across the sensor so it can work properly.

If you find this information to be correct would you please enter a "fixya" rating.
Thanks, Gator241
