Why my car want move in reverse in a 2005 lincon ls
IS THE FLUID LOW OR DIRTY.

that is cylinder misfire cyl#2-4 &5 have missed I would put new spark plug wires and spark plugs if this hasn't resolved it get your coil tested it is the season for plugs and wires these get hot and cool down rapidly with plenty of internal condensation! that electrical parts are not a fancy to helping them work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Or the possibility could be a **** cable that may be about to break , sounds like the cable is stuck in the sheath.

Most likely you have a COP Ignition Coil going bad.
Have the TPS Sensor checked also. I would prefer a scope trace, to a voltage reading
You can expect at least one part failure a year on the LS I have a 2004.

The Transmission in this car is electronically controlled by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM for short), when a problem like this occurs the first thing that must be done is to have the system scanned for fault codes in the memory of the PCM, this system is very sensitive to any failure so the system scan is absolutely essential in determining the cause of the problem, if no fault codes show up in memory then the problem is mechanical in nature and will require the transmission be removed and tron down for inspection and repair. Most transmission shops will perform this scan of the system free of charge in hope of landing the job to repair it.
My experience is 30 years as a Ford trained dealer technicain with a Ford Master Mechanic certification in automotive electronic control systems repair and diagnosis.
