Have you checked your heater control valve? After running your engine and letting it get to operating temp, touch the heater hoses and make sure they feel hot to and from the heater core up near the firewall. If they are not hot then water/coolant is not circulating. It could be the heater control valve or it could be that someone has crossed up the heater hoses and has then both on a push side. See, you must have a push and return side on the coolant lines or the water will not flow. These older models could have 3 or more heater hose hookups on them and if someone has switched them around water will not flow right. Hope this helps.

Yes, but you still need to feel the heater hoses to see if they are getting hot to make sure the heater core is getting hot water/coolant from the engine. As far as the hole, you can patch it up with some fiberglass. The surface needs to be clean free of grease and oil and roughen up the surface to help it stick. Another option all depending on how big the hole is is you may can epoxy it. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Cutlass Supreme Door Wont Open From Outside

It could either be the linkage inside the door popped off, or the outside handle is broke on the inside of the door. this is common with this car and is very fixable.

SOURCE: both hoses to heater core are hot, blender door

if the air is definatly being blown through the heater core , then the core is blocked.if there is no hot coolant passing through the core then ------no warm air ---give it a good look see if you can see the deflector guiding the blown air is going far enough to send majority of air through heater good luck

SOURCE: i have a 1998 ford f-150 and no heat. i have

You just might have an air lock. Try bleeding the system from the heater hose at the firewall. Losen one hose a little, and at operating temp. open slightly to let air out. You will lose some coolant, but just refill the rad. Now, both hoses should get hot.

SOURCE: No heat/defrost 01 corolla

Sounds like you have air trapped in the heater core when you flushed the heater core. loosen the upper most heater core hose and run the engine untill coolant seeps out. Wait until the coolant has reached running temperature.

I have an Olds Cutlass, the heater fan will not work on high, it will work on everything except high. Please tell me what is the fix for this problem. Thanks

Unfortunately, you will need to replace the heater fan to correct this problem.

BUT just to be sure, I would put a meter on the switch output and make sure that you have voltage on it. If you do, then it is the fan. If not it is the switch.

first feel the heater core hoses see if both are hot if so then your problem is in the blend air door must be stuck on cold. is your blower motor blowing cold air if not your blower motor might be the problem. the blend air door is down by the blower motor.

A new heater core and thermostat was put on, but it still just blows out cold air. How do we get it to heat?

If the hoses ,rad and heater core have been flushed, check, replaced, then you are now down to a coolant flow problem. This meens either the water pump belt is slipping or the punp fins have rotted off and you need a new pump.
