What cause the crankshaft to get hot and melt belt in 1998-chysler concord 3.2engine

The belt would not be melted by the crankshaft, it would be something that is driven by the belt like an idler pulley or AC compressor. The reason the belt failure is that it is driven by the crank, if there is excessive resistance to the crank turning the pulley the belt suffers overheating and failure.

AC belt squealing. Lost it on the road. Replaced it and tension pulley. Still squeals.

Sounds like the compressor is seizing up or a idler pulley bearing has failed.

I have 2002 infinity i35 and my cervatin belt keeps melting/breaking. Why???? It's the water pump, alternator, ac belt.

before putting a new belt on try turning each pulley to see if they turn freely
replace any pulley bearing that is not free to turn
It may be from a failed ac compressor
test this by turning the ac off then watch the belt when it is turned back on
make sure that you have the belt on correctly
The back of the belt goes around flat pulleys and the grooves go in the grooved pulleys.

2000 eldorado cadillac-One month ago, replaced water pump, smelled rubber burning & loss of antifreeze, mechanic noticed the cranksaft pulley and belt was destroyed & must replace. A second o

I'd have to see the car to say for sure.
Usually when a belt melts one of the pulleys locked up which would not have been the crank pulley.
A mechanic would check each pulley for movement.

My engine was screeching and then it would stop it got progressively worse then the fan belt broke how do I replace it do I have to remove the other belts

Okay, those type belts don't just break. The screaching you were hearing was one the pulleys locking up, and in doing so makes the belt get very hot. Once it gets hot enough to melt the rubber in it, it will come apart. I recommend you inspect all the pulleys, and make sure they spin freely, and NO grinding noise.

I suspect either the idler pulley, or the tensioner pulley.

High pitched howling and screeching (yes two different noises). The howling appears to happen when the air conditioning compressor pulley engages. The screeching, my guess would be from the belt. Any...

When the AC compressor kicks on, an electrical load is placed on the alternator and the drive belt that turns the alternator pulley, if not tight enough, can cause the belt to squeal. Replacing the belt should help with that noise if the belt is stretched from wear. The screeching noise can be from a bad idler pulley, a bad belt tensioner pulley or a bad alternator pulley or a failing clutch on a very old ac compressor and rarely a water pump pulley. To check pulleys remove the drive belt and turn them individually to see if they can be tilted up down or sideways with play in the "bearing" of the pulley. Also, you may wish to visually inspect the clutch on the ac and look for melted black rubber around the bolts that secure the clutch to the compressor (stinks, smokes and melts these rubber areas if ac compressor clutch fails).

How do you change the alternater belt on a 2001 Galant?

My apologies for the delayed response. I am going back to answer unanswered questions.
1. Yes, you have to take the other belt off to take this belt off.
2. I use a wire brush to get melted rubber out of the grooves on pulleys with grooves. I use a wire brush then sand paper to remove melted rubber of smooth pulleys.
3. You should always replace both belts instead of just one.

CLICK on the following LINK. I beleive it has the Diagrams for your Belts that you will need.

If you would: Before Clicking let me know if this helped you, or if you have any additional information or questions. Feel Free to contact me at!
Again my sincerest apologies...
