Air is leaking under dash hit the brakes heard a pop now car starts, but wont idle no brakes

The vacuum hose on the power brake booster (right behind the master cylinder), (where you put the brake fluid) has probably popped off or cracked. If so you will hear a hissing noise & have a loss of power brakes. Either reinstall the hose if possible or replace it if it is damaged. Good Luck Frank M

2006 G6 has a sound that like the engine is reving, but its not. The sound starts after about hitting about 25miles per hour.

check the front tire for scuffing ! if it pulls to the left it may need an alignment. the sound you hear is the front tires not going straight. just check it out ! could be wrong, but just see. good-day ! also check front suspension good.

Either the linkage for the wiper arms has come apart or the gears inside the motor are stripped/broken.

When is it necessary to replace intermittent steering shaft on 2006 Pontiac G6? Steering makes a clunk sound sometimes when I turn.

You could have worn Cross links or a ball joint out or if it has the struts it is the stabilizer bar that could be worn. It would have to be checked for where the noise is coming from, you would need to do a front end alignment after repair.

Front end makes noise when driving down the road, front brakes were just replaced but not the rotors, could they be warped

Locate an overpass. Drive slowly under it and open the front window and listen for the noise. If you hear a growling noise its the wheel bearings. Do the same for the rears only this time open the rear windows. You can also lift the vehicle offf the ground and spin each wheel and listed for the growling. Rotors don't make noise they usually give you a pulsating pedal if they are out of round.

Pontiac G6 gas pedal rattle

Is this almost like a metallic buzzing sound?

Find the catalytic converter under the car it should have a shield on it. Use a broomstick with the car running and hold the shield still and have someone give it a little gas. Just move from shield to shield until you find the offending shield.

Don't touch these with your hand as they can get hot fast.

Most parts houses sell a very large hose clamp to go around these shield for about $10, they will know exactly what you are looking for.
