I drive an audi A4 2006 2.0tdi S-line. Awful sound coming from front passenger side wheel area- car is lowered on coilovers. Even when going 5mph there is a rubbing sound every revolution of the wheel. Car can't be driven due to severity of the jolting- EBS light also came on. Any solutions ?

yes it is damaged
find a shop and get it inspected
there are bad parts, sure but even damaged (like cracks)
want a wheel to fly off at 100kmh or worse.
what country is the car, ?
bent shocks or struts
Audi allroad quattro?
semi-offroad version of the Audi A6 Avant (station wagon)
this car has ball joints+ coil + A-arm suspension and 1 strut
per side
so my guess is the STUTS were both destroyed.
no really safe to drive at all like that.
IMO
does the sound go up when you trottle up?
put each wheel off the ground, put your left hand between the spring,
turn the wheel.when the bearing is bad you feel it in your left hand the trembling from that bearing.try each wheell.see iff any rubber off the excaust is good..
no brake problem as it is not there when on jacks
most clicks are failing cv joints are are normally when going slow and on a bit of a turn
Take it to a drive line specialist shop for a proper diagnosis
the front axle locks in at the front wheels by vacuum there is two solenoids on the passenger fire wall that control the four wheel drive be sure those solenoids work there is an updated solenoid also check vacuum lines down to each front wheel area if there is good vacuum down to both front wheels the it is probably the diaphrams in the front wheel area.
sounds like the front drive shaft universal joint has failed. to check lift front and wiggle the shafts at the rubber boots is there and side to side motion? should be no slosh only smooth rotation if there is replace drive shaft
I have personally seen a lot of wheel bearings go bad on these vehicles. If you hear the noise get more pronounced when turning left, the right front (passenger side) bearing is most likely the culprit- if turning right, it would be the left front (driver side) bearing.
Hope this is helpful!!
