2005 Chevy Uplander Problems

If my Uplader is low on gas and if the front end is tilted down, it will not start, even when. I put gas in it. It seems to affect the battery.

SOURCE: locating the fuse box for a 2005 chevrolet uplander

Try this..At the driver's seat open your car door all the way then look at the dashboard end. Pry off the plastic cover...the diagram should also be at the back of the cover.

SOURCE: clicking noise in front end when 4x4 is ingaged.

Have the front hubs and CV joints checked, that is where this kind of noise most commonly comes from.

SOURCE: 2005 chevy uplander having diffculty putting into

check the brake lights and see if they work when this problem happens, U may have a problem with the Park lock system, this locks the gear shift out until the brake pedal is pushed, then a electric solenoid releases a pin and allows u to come out of park, if the brake lights check ok then the solenoid may be sticking at times. Does this sound more like your problem?

check to see if the wire is broken for the passlock/passkey system in the ignition lock cylinder, its common for the copper wire to seperate inside the insulation, when you tilt the column it could have been pushing the wires together enough to touch inside the insulation

SOURCE: MY FUEL PUMP KICKS ON BUT MY 2005 CHEVY UPLANDER WILL NOT START

Try adding gas to the tank, it might have a bad sending unit that reads 1/4 when the tank is empty.

I ask where is the starter is location on a 2005 chevy uplander.

Chevy used a 3.5L and a 3.9L displacement for the Uplander. On the 3.5L it is on the bottom right looking at it from the bumper in (or Driver's side) just aft of the alternator.

Chevy uplander traction control seems to be working all the time

Can you feel the vibration through the steering wheel if so have your front discs machined & the front pads replaced. Or are you feeling the vibration through the pedal? if so it may be the rear but start with the front.

My chevy uplander 2007 ran out of gas. I have

Since the Uplanders have the long (front to back) skinny gas tank, with the outlet to the rear; if you run out of gas with the front/nose inclined lower than the rear, then it can take upwards of 5 to 8 gallons to get it started again. It was written up in a GM TSB. Two gallons won't start it. When the gage reads less than 1/2, it's not a good idea to park with the front lower than the rear...unless you carry a full 5 gal. refill. Thank you GM engineering.

Chevy uplander ran out of gas and now it won't start

I had a similar issue with my uplander. They don't have a reset switch on the pump but if the vehicle is CLOSE to running out of gas and you happen to park on a grade where the front of the vehicle is pointing down then you may have trouble starting the vehicle until it level's out.

All I did was apply some gas pedal while starting and it started. Then I got to a gas station ASAP. If you're right out of gas you may want to add some to the tank and let the vehicle sit in the ignition on position without starting it for a minute or two to get some fuel back in the lines before starting it.

Good or bad?

It's a terrible minivan. Read the reviews, they have all been bad. The only thing going for it was it's low price tage. Aside from that every other mini-van was superior in each and every way.
