You say it is not the battery, so I will assume that it is either new or you had it load tested. When you say the light on the dash light up do you mean all the dash lights, radio, and head light works? If there is no cranking it is most likely the starter is bad.

You need to get at the ignition switch and see if the switch is bad. You apparently have power to the accessories side but is power reaching the ignition side?

the clicking indicates that the battery is dead or flat. The only test is with a load tester. For a battery to fail quickly especially in cold weather indicates that it was on the way out.

My 92 nissan primera wont start lights work on dash board turn key on wont start

turn headlight on - either with another person or facing a wall.
try starting. If lights dim it is a bad battery ot connection to the battery.
If not it is in ur starter ckt - relay, starter motor, starter solinoid.

2003 accord 4cylinder wont start doesnt turn the battery is good

check battery connections, if they are good check the power supply from the battery to starter motor (thick cable), if this is good have someone crank it while you check the signal wire to the starter motor(thin wire), if this is good replace the starter motor. u could tap the starter motor with a hammer if accessible while someone is cranking it, sometimes this will get the starter going again but will still need replacing

Not a handy man or fix it man. 04 tribute, wont start, battery wont jump start but dash board lights are on, there is a click click click noise and it wont start

Clicking noise is the sound of the starter being bad and not having enough power to turn the motor over. Replace the starter.

My 96 grand cherokee 4.0L cut out at the traffic lights and wont start, not even turning over.Dash lights all there, battery is up.Not even a click from starter.anyone any ideas?

OK do the head lights go out then you try to start the engine if yes then its the battery term on battery hot if so dirty fitting (wash with Hot water and spray and refit tight and recheck the lights and starting..
IF auto gearbox then check the Park switch on box it has 3 wires on the side of box.(Under car)
CHECK the Poss + wire on the battery and also the Black earth wire to engine (is it broken off engine as there is also a thin earth wire for battery term to body so the lights will work but the starter takes out a lot of amps and if earth lead isent on engine then it wont turn over.
Check the small wire to the starter motor solinoid as well as a lot are push on terms and have come off if not a tight fit.
So check out all above,,, and let me know how you get on Ron

Won't start lights dim and then brighten

Did you try to boost battery? Sounds like low charge. Check battery terminals for tight and clean as well as groung connection at body and power connection at starter for clean. If battery OK test for power on starter wires. Large wire will have contant battery power small wire will have battery power when key is in crank position. If power ok on both it will probably need a starter. Hope this helps...Good Luck.

My car wont start but my dash and radio lights up,

still sounds like battery not holding enough charge or poor connection at battery, if thesre ok then will be starter motor.
