Problem for BMW Cars
Generic problem for all BMW 323 Cars
Car wont turn over to
car wont turn over to start but light on dash light up. not the battery all wires from starter motor ok.

- all dash lights come on, radio and headlights work, no cranking. but when making a connection between the two wires connected to starter motor, with key turned onmotor cranks but not start.May 09, 2009

You say it is not the battery, so I will assume that it is either new or you had it load tested. When you say the light on the dash light up do you mean all the dash lights, radio, and head light works? If there is no cranking it is most likely the starter is bad.

- You need to get at the ignition switch and see if the switch is bad. You apparently have power to the accessories side but is power reaching the ignition side?Yes
