SOURCE: iat sensor

Hi there ... The IAT sensor is on the intake manifold, just behind the alternator. For further info on this sensor you can go to www.autozone.com. click on repair info, select your vehicle. then click on vehicle repair guides. In the product search box at the top left type in IAT and then click on the repair guide in the box that appears and it will give you more info.

Hope this helps you out

Your vehicle dose not have a maf sensor. They used a map sensor it is on the engine located under the front of the breater where it attaches to the engine.

2000 dodge ram TCS been replaced still get code p0505

Code 505 is for a problem with the idle air control valve.
It could be the valve, or a dirty throttle body, or a problem in the harness.
If you replaced the IAC and the throttle body is clean, and the code remains, you probably need to open the harness and check the wires.

Just replaced the tp sensor and the iac valve because it was almost stalling and not shifting proper now my rpm's are about 1500 & 2000 how do I corect that on my 2002 dodge dakota 3.9 4x4 qua

Did you disconnect the battery for 5 minuted after the parts were installed to reset the system parameters? If not do that and see if it corrects the problems.

2000 Dodge Ram 1500 V8 stalls while driving. After a few minutes it will restart. Not a fuel pump issue. Engine will turn but won't fire. Seems to take longer in hot weather. Any suggestions?

If this happens when you lay off the gas while driving then it could be the IAC.

The IAC (Idle Air Control) Sensor. My Dodge did the same thing and by either cleaning the IAC or replacing the IAC did the trick. I found a video for you on Youtube on how to replace it. The IAC is on the backside of the throttle body and only takes minutes to do. Mine was loaded with carbon and locked up.

2000 dodge ram 5.9 is cutting off at stops

clean the idle air control vavle with spray carb cleaner. clean the throttle plate and bore as well.

The IAC controls your idle speed and may be sticky due to deposits. The cleaning should take care of the stalling problem.

Why will my 2000 dodge 1500 truck start and idle

then the normal suspects are...
IAT (intake air temp) sensor
IAC (idle air control) motor
dirty/corroded connections

do you see any specific weather conditions before/during the idle concern like cold and/or rain?
