2000 f150 squeeking noice from wheel area going over bumps

There is a squeeking sound from the driver side wheel area when i get in and out of the truck, go over bumps, or push down on the bumper to test the socks. Also when I turn at slow speeds the steering squeeks to from under the hood, from turning it to the left or right. What could this be?

I have not had the wheels changed. The squeeking sound is very loud. It comes from behind the driver side front wheel area. When ever I go over small bumps, get in and out of the truck, or if I press down on the front of the truck when parked it squeeks really loud. Also, when I am leaving the drive way or any where from park, and start moving, if I turn the steering wheel to the left or right there is a squeeking noise as well. Some one I know said it could be a bad control arm bushing. Some one suggested to pry the ball joint with a bar and see if there is alot of play in it.

Tie rod end, Ball joint, Idler arm, Pitman arm, or any other front end part in motion.

have you had the car serviced recently or have the wheels been changed?

Sounds like a bad ball joint. Pry with a bar to see if there is a lot of play.

Why is my front driver side tire wobble when i hit a bump

First, have the tire inspected before you do any expressway driving. you could have a damaged tire with a tread or internal ply separation. second, inspect the front shock absorbers, it sounds like the left front shock has failed and lost its hydraulic fluid. third have the front steering linkage and front suspension checked for worn or loose tie rods, idler arm, ball joints and stabilizer bar links. do this ASAP as you don't want to have the tire fail or any parts break while you are driving!

My 2001 Nissan Altima has a squeeking sound coming from the drivers side wheel. It only squeeks when the car is moving. And I don't think it squeeks when I use the brakes. What could be causing it to...

You will need to pull the wheel off and inspect the brakes. Spray some brake fluid cleaner on the rotor and disc area to clean the brake dust off. Next, have the wheel bearing checked and replaced, a bad wheel bearing would cause your wheel to squeak.

Okay....hope this helps......

#1-Front end squeek is coming from a bushing in the front end suspension....could be the rubber on your struts/schocks, balljoint, or tie rod bushings. Have to jack the car front end and start from one side to the other...a little bit of a pain to pin point.

#2-The fan selector switch is bad....which means the control panel has to be replaced.

#3-Brakes....couple of things.....brake pads may have been installed incorrectly...not seated correctly in the caliper....

Have you hit anything recently or run over a parking block or run over a curb???

1999 f150 4x4 noice in rear end of truck, I have rotated the tires and had a mechanic look at the brakes and wheel bearings.

Drive shaft joints? You need to run it on the lift and put a stethoscope on the housing near the axle bearings. They still may sound okey because they not loaded as on the ground. You could go for new u-joints and balance the drive shaft. Change the gear oil and additive if locking diff. Tape the rear tire diameter on both sides.

sounds like the cooling fan clutch to me, look under the hood next time you hear it, will be easy to confirm if that is the noise.

Squeek noise on front wheels when hit bump

The problem could be caused by a wheel bearing squeeling or the cv joint squeeling.
